Keep in mind that Jackson most likely has a suspension coming up from multiple DUI's.

What this also means is that Shanny and the FO have little confidence in our young Wr corp.

I personally wouldn't go for the trade if I was Allen. You need to keep your first rounders to build for the long term. Jackson is definitely an upgrade to our WR corp. Our newbies must not be cutting the mustard.

Re: Report: Redskins are pursuing Vincent Jackson

2 things:
1. i want him on the B&G, but not for a 1st, which i think SD will demand
2. this really speaks to what shanny thinks of our current wr core.

Jackson is def an upgrade over anything we currently have. I say make the deal if it isn't too costly.

Re: Report: Redskins are pursuing Vincent Jackson

I think mentioning the Skins is just to support a high asking price.
They probably are asking for a first and willing to take a 2nd and a 4th or equivalent.

I really don't know what San Diego is lacking...all I know is Haynesworth is an obvious trade scenario from the skins standpoint...and perhaps Malcolm Kelly to replace him....and Rocky has been mentioned in trade scenarios.

I personally think a 3 for 1 deal would be too much...but if we could retain Rocky, I'd be thrilled.

Question: What is San Diego's most glaring need?

Re: Report: Redskins are pursuing Vincent Jackson

I would think SD's biggest need is at WR if they trade VJ. PFT just posted that shanny is really high on Jackson If that means anything. If a trade were to happen, I would think it could be done by the weekend. Apparently Seattle is really chasing him also

Re: Report: Redskins are pursuing Vincent Jackson

what picks do we have available next yr?
I know we are missing our 3rd and 4th.

And San Diego must have other top needs besides WR.

Actually Jackson is on his way out in SD according to local fans.

Team is tired of him.

I don't want him. He is a punk!

SD fans want Vincent gone? He can't be anything as sistracting as Marshall was or TO. The guy still produces. DUIs are no laughing matter, but I haven't heard of him being a loudmouth, etc.

Re: Report: Redskins are pursuing Vincent Jackson

I dont know their team but I think they need D line, RT, CB, ILB, RB help.
If that is true, Haynesworth, Carter, Rodgers, McIntosh are folks we could part with
Although Haynesworth doesn't want a 3-4, Carter doesn't fit, and we likely need Rodgers, unless Buchannan is a starter (doubtful)....that leaves McIntosh....I think they also need a RB....so that would be parker or Larry Johnson.

Out of that Group...if I were San Diego, I'd want McIntosh, Rodgers, Clinton Portis, Larry Johnson, Devin Thomas and Haynesworth, only if I could talk to him to see if he really doesn't want a 3-4 vs getting out of DC.

I can see McIntosh, Devin Thomas for Jackson.

Tell me if I am wrong on their needs...cause I am just fishing at this point

I think they're ok at RB. They drafted Mathews and they still have Sproles as the change of pace.

Re: Report: Redskins are pursuing Vincent Jackson

Do not trade for him please!
We can't keep giving away all of our picks for players. This is the same shit we have been doing for the last 10 years. Why haven't you people learned yet. We are going to have to give up at least a first round pick, or two 2nds like the Marshall trade, he wants at least as much money as Marshall, and he is nowhere near as good as Marshall. He is not even the number one target on the Chargers, Antonio Gates is. His best year was last year and he only had 68 catches.

We are not one player away from the Super Bowl like some of you people think for some reason. We need to start getting younger by getting 22 year old rookies, not guys that are almost 30 looking for a big pay day. The only way to build a Super Bowl team is over many years through the draft.
