Re: Game Goats
Poor word choice by me. My point was that Shanny hadn't even stepped up for the presser and we have a "goat" thread on the board. I guess it is the age we live in but if we can't enjoy a win for at least a few hours it is pretty sad. |

It is true. Either way, Carlos is the best coverage guy we have on the team. He is much better than Hall in that regard. Btw, that missed int was one of his worst. The ball didn't even get to his hands, it bounced off his forearm. lol |

Re: Game Goats
Rabach was terrible, it seemed like he was getting pancaked on every play. Sellers should have been cut years ago.

Re: Game Goats
Hey man, keep your sexual preferences to yourself. This is a "Don't ask, Don't tell" board!
I'm going with Bidwell. Between the shanked punt and the boggled snap (yeah - it wasn't perfect, but, sometimes, you gotta get that kind down). On top of that, I haven't checked his average, but his punts seemed short to me. He is followed by Anthony Armstrong - twice he is hit in the hands in the endzone. The second was a tough catch, but that's why they pay you the big bucks man! Mike Sellers, Stone hands Rogers and Casey "turnstile" Rabach for the reasons stated above. Finally, any receiver not named Moss or Cooley. Come on guys!! Make a play!!

Re: Game Goats
Since you mention Anthony, i've been trying to figure out - how is it we have a 26 year old rookie on our team? did he spend 8 years in high school or something?

Re: Game Goats
There's no way Doughty should next wk. Blown coverages, being late to the ball, and terrible anticipation skills don't make a FS.

Re: Game Goats
He wasn't exactly a goat, but was Fred Davis auditioning for the lead role in The Invisible Man?

Re: Game Goats
He's bounced around, spent some time on practice squads, spent some time in the Arena league as well as the Intense Football League, whatever the heck that is.

Re: Game Goats
And it looks like he had somewhat shitty seats. I mean, it was a box, which is nice. But he's at the end zone. My seats at the 40 have a much better view.

Re: Game Goats
I agree..... and especially on your reference to the two consecutive fade patterns to Armstrong. We were wondering where a player like Fred Davis was in a situation like that. That's not a play for a player of his stature in that position on the field.

Re: Game Goats
First one, yes....second one was good defense.

As far as my vote for goat, it'd have to be either Doughty for giving up the lone TD to Dallas or Mcnabb for forcing that 3rd and goal pass to Armstrong for the second time in a row, where as if he had waited a half second later you see Cooley open as hell at the goal line running to the sideline away from Brooking allowing the skins to go up 17-0.

Re: Game Goats
I still can't get over Armstrong dropping that first fade in the endzone. The ball was right on his hands, perfect pass, and he flat out dropped it. The 2nd one I can forgive him for as he was well covered, but still, he's gotta make that first one.
