Florio just said the same thing. Says Portis will be placed on Injured Reserve.

Man, we're paper thin at RB. Parker and Johnson are still out there right? Wish we could swing a deal for Lynch.

LJ's in New York? When did this happen?

As for Betts, interesting read here (I don't particularly miss him)

The Canadian Press: Drew Brees can't say enough about RB Ladell Betts

Thats why I can't play fantasy football. Makes no sense to me how you can hope he comes back quickly when it only helps our opposition.

I feel the same way and I am thinking this is my last year of Fantasy Football, in my mind it has run it's course.

I agree with you that a RB should be ran and ran and ran. Riggo sure didn't have a problem with it in his day. But when its time to replace the RB then it's time to replace the RB.

I love Portis but...It's Time!
Wow he showed that for what a few runs against one team. I remember a running back that ran for over 200 yards in the SB and did nothing else his entire life.

i just check the nfl home page rosters and stuff LJ is still unsigned. hes our best option if portis is going to be out for a long period of time. still thing we need to wait and draft some young legs.

Oh well.... I am sure that BA will make a good move to get us the right back or this could be the start of a RB carolsel for the year.

This could be ATV's best chance to ever get going on a NFL roster.

Best option? Then we are doomed. You do remember that he failed to run well and actually lost yards, 10 to be exact.

I'd rather we keep Torain as the lead rusher, bring back K.Williams, and have Simpson as the third back until her learns the offense. Depending on who runs better then they can shift the #2 and #3 RB if they see fit.

It would be nice if there was someone out there that can block. That's where we're really going to miss CP if he's indeed out for the year.
