Like the lawless tribal badlands of Pakistan where I'm sure quite a few high ranking insurgents are hiding, to this asshat living in England and authorities not yet willing to authorize his arrest warrant for w/e reason, it just needs to stop. No wonder criminals don't give a shit about the crimes they commit, they know as long as they can just stay at a safe haven in another country they'll live another day to commit another crime. It's like the Mexican drug lords not giving a shit about what happens in America, because they know Mexico is such a crappy country that they'll never get caught as long as they stay in control of the borderlands, and that the US will never be able to step foot into Mexico to go seize those worthless mofo's.

The law is not what the United States says or thinks it is. Other countries govern themselves and therefore have their own set of principles. One cannot expect that just because they are your allies they'd jump on our whim and do as we want them to. We certainly don't, why should they be expected to?

Re: Another Massive Wiki Leak
Nigeria has issued an arrest warrant through interpol for Dick Cheney...I wonder if we're going to hand him over.

Re: Another Massive Wiki Leak
So what do we think of him leaking the list of key security facilities around the world? Disinfectant?

Absolute nonsense. You want your nuclear launch facilities to be secure by design rather than try to redact their locations on published maps. Security through obscurity is lazy and quite frankly it's a very dangerous method of "security." If a graduate student can get the information any determined individual can get it too. What kind of fcking security is that?

Re: Another Massive Wiki Leak
While I agree with Saden about our security issues I still think he is a pecker head and will be in jail soon.

When it comes to national security and fighting terrorist who want to kill Americans or disrupt United State's infrastructure obscurity doesn't offer any advantages at all. Obscurity only provides false sense of security. Always assume they know what you know. This is real security and the only meaningful security.

Re: Another Massive Wiki Leak
I havent really been paying much attention to news or events like wiki leaks lately. I did read the majority of this thread in the begaining, and heard the stuff about Korea when the leak first broke but thats about it. Anyway i was wondering what Ron Paul thought about this whole mess, and honestly without knowing the substance stuff of the wikileaks i completely agree with his line of thoughts. I wonder if i knew more about the wikileak if i would think differently or not (or if i should).
Number 1: Do the America People deserve know the truth regarding the ongoing wars in Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan and Yemen? Number 2: Could a larger question be how can an army private access so much secret information? Number 3: Why is the hostility directed at Assange, the publisher, and not at our governments failure to protect classified information? Number 4: Are we getting our moneys worth of the 80 Billion dollars per year spent on intelligence gathering? Number 5: Which has resulted in the greatest number of deaths: lying us into war or Wikileaks revelations or the release of the Pentagon Papers? Number 6: If Assange can be convicted of a crime for publishing information that he did not steal, what does this say about the future of the first amendment and the independence of the internet? Number 7: Could it be that the real reason for the near universal attacks on Wikileaks is more about secretly maintaining a seriously flawed foreign policy of empire than it is about national security? Number 8: Is there not a huge difference between releasing secret information to help the enemy in a time of declared war, which is treason, and the releasing of information to expose our government lies that promote secret wars, death and corruption? Number 9: Was it not once considered patriotic to stand up to our government when it is wrong? Ron Paul Defends WikiLeaks On House Floor | Ron Paul Speech on Julian Assange | Video | Mediaite
