Re: Haynesworth to the Patriots for a 5th rounder.
Yeah, when he tries he is still the premier defensive player IMO and handing him to Hoody might not end up working out

Re: Haynesworth to the Patriots for a 5th rounder.
Yes NE runs a 3-4, however he'll probably be one of a couple of things:
-playing only on passing downs -playing DE in the 3-4, not NT -traded to philly shortly

Re: Haynesworth to the Patriots for a 5th rounder.
The comments here are hilarious. The Pats got a steal, Haynesworth will dominate in New England.
We just don't know that. The game is played on the field. We're basing so much of how we feel about Hayneworth on what he did three freaking years ago. Save three or four memorable plays as a Redskin, he was nothing more than a space eater...and a bench rider. I'm sorry, but Haynesworth is three years removed from being a truly dominant DT. And to think he'll just parachute into New England and Belichick will sprinkle pixie dust on Fat Al and he'll morph into Reggie White is just a stretch. |

I am afraid that this will wake up the beast in him, but he is out of our locker room.

Re: Haynesworth to the Patriots for a 5th rounder.
If $100 million can't wake up the beast in him, I don't see how being on probation in New England motivates him. A place where he'll have to keep his ego in check and work hard everyday.

Re: Haynesworth to the Patriots for a 5th rounder.
With McNabb and Albert being traded away, hopefully this will be the end of extremely poor mismanagement by the FO and coaching staff in regards to personel. Our personel management has been a joke for 10 years and Im personally sick of being the laughing stock of the league when it comes player moves. Time to move forward

Yeah I don't see it working out in the long run either. Nobody can change the fact the guy is a bum. He'll show his true colors soon enough.

I'm just going to be so pissed if we hear about how he's REALLY going to get up for the Skins game this year. I just can't understand him feeling so disrespected that he wants to "stick it to us" for giving him tons of cash for nothing.

Quote:
While there is obvious hidden value in keeping him out of the division, the belief in such value is an admission that the player in question makes any defensive front better. It was kind of like the Favre saga of 2008: the Packers eventually did get value on him, but if they really believed in Aaron Rodgers, they should have just released Favre and let him go to Minnesota. Problem was: they didn't really believe in Aaron Rodgers, they just believed Favre was done or near done. If the Redskins really believed they were right that Haynesworth creates more problems for a defensive scheme than he solves, they should have released him and let Philadelphia take him. But obviously, they did not believe that. And this was a sell low job with that contract.

I'd would be shocked if AH dominated in New England.

Re: Haynesworth to the Patriots for a 5th rounder.
He won't dominate, but Darth Hoody will get a lot out of him, and if not he will cut him. NE has had bigger trouble head cases before and knows how to deal with them, they also do the best job at getting the best out of a player and scheme around their abilities. Of course this all depends if AH has anything left in him after two years of mediocrity.

Re: Haynesworth to the Patriots for a 5th rounder.
He'll make the Pro Bowl this year then NE will trade him for a first round pick in 2012.

Re: Haynesworth to the Patriots for a 5th rounder.
worst free agent signing in the history of the league. glad he's gone. but not sure why a organization like ne wants any part of this loser.
