I don't get this train of thought. If the media is going to nail the Redskins go after the 31st ranked defense or the 24th ranked rushing attack. To go after them because of the QB just makes me think they're playing the name game. Lets face it, McNabb sucked last year, yet they're crediting the Redskins with loosing the version of McNabb that played in Philly not the one that couldn't convert a 3rd down to save his life in Washington.

QB play last year was met if not exceeded by Rex. Also keep in mind the Redskins went 6-10 with crappy QB play, the 31st ranked defense, and an anemic running game. As far as we know right now there is no dropoff at the QB position unless you're going by name recognition, in which case the Redskins have a huge hole in the jersey selling department.

If the Skins go out and win 11 games and make the playoffs, you can look back and laugh at these doofuses. Even if they go 7-9, there will surely be more than 3 teams with worse records and you can laugh at these doofuses.

Ignore this nonsesne and watch the games and look to see what the Skins' record is in January. That is the ONLY thing that matters...

Yeah well Jacksonville, Oakland, Miami and Cleveland may be better than us. Denver may be a stretch but for the most part I can't disagree with the rankings. Face it dude, we are not projected to be very good this year. That is the way it is when we are consistantly in the bottom 1/3 of the NFC and last in the our division every year.

Re: NFL Power Rankings

I don't mind being ranked low. We haven't proven anything yet. What I don't get is how we slipped 3 spots after making significant roster improvements. There isn't a single position we lost talent on, but there are multiple positions we gained talent on.

How is the above statement negative? It is the truth. I am not making it up, or giving my projections, simply stating facts and what "others" are saying.
Fact that other teams are suppose to be better isn't anything new. We are always picked last in the division, generally finish last in the division. We are picked to finished last this year again. So who cares really...this is the normal thing that happens every year.

Its funny how we have basically 10 or more years of consistantly losing, finishing last in the division, and no one ever picks us to win anything and when someone says that its "hating, or negative or whatever" Its facts. When New England is picked to win everything and be great is jumping on the wagon, drinking the coolaid or whatever. Here is the difference... They have been run like a 1st class organization over the last 10 years. Doing things the right way (or what they consider the right way) and have consistantly won for 10 years. Their best player got drilled how long ago and Brady was there, Brady goes down and Cassel was there. They build and do things the right way. So when a Redskin fan expects them to do the norm and finish last based on talent and roster I am Negative and realistic.

Re: NFL Power Rankings

This Power Ranking thread kinda got me thinking of not only redboxes but what the Warpath's Power Rankings would look like? probably something like this:
1. Chico
2._____
3._____
4._____
5....

Kinda like the espn's new qb rating of relevance, context, grammar, spelling, comedy, knowledge, and other things associated with winning. evaluation would be a pain, but we have alot of gametape. would be alot of mod work though
