Re: NFL Shootings
Not sure I really buy the college crowds are more educated argument either. Has anyone ever tailgated at a college game?? Tons of drinking going on.

Re: NFL Shootings
I didn't really understand what Jed York meant about the preseason fans vs. regular season fans

Re: NFL Shootings
I have been to plenty of pro games and Penn State and MD College games. IMO a big difference, the drinking is there at both places the threat of violence is greater at Pro games.

Re: NFL Shootings
Anytime you get large gatherings of drunk males together, there is potential for trouble. I'm really not buying the difference between pro and college. There are morons in every walk of life.

Re: NFL Shootings
But I don't think it really has to do with education level.

Re: NFL Shootings
I guess I didn't make my point clear and I got cut off by the earthquake.
Yes, I know there is tons of drinking at college game tailgating. (hence why I posted what I did about the school I attended and work for) I still have yet to see the type of crap that's happened in NFL stadiums happen here. I personally think it's a different class of crowd when it all boils down. I was making a crack about education difference though. That said, most of the people that attend those college games are indeed students or alumni. That would be a good thing to find out. The average education level of college football attendees compared to pro football attendees. Smoot, get your boys on this scooby doo mystery! What is the average time that the tailgating lots are open on game days in NFL? 5 hours? Our main lots only open 3 hours before the game. Some of the smaller lots ran by locals/schools open earlier.

Agree with your statement about morons though. It very well may come down to the fact that students do have something to lose (tickets and possibly expelled) by being a jackass at games.

Re: NFL Shootings
ok if you say so.
Also no drinking allowed inside the stadium may play a role.

Re: NFL Shootings
Well, you tell me. You go to both pro and college games. As I'm sure many people do. Does your education level drop at a pro game?
