Re: Redskins vs. Giants pre-game thread

I think the Giants had one of the worst player run off season workouts. I don't know that that means that much, but you have to wonder whether their D was out of condition, or if the coaches are pushing them harder to make up for the lost time.

They have looked out of sync all pre-season, and although I am doubtful the Skins have blowout potential, I think the Giants are going to be on the wrong side of ALOT of lopsided games this season.

That said, until the Skins show me they can win convincingly in the regular season, I'm still calling them close.

Depends how we lose - there's losing....and then there's "losing."

Mhm. Bullee DAT. Still though, I'm sick of losing to the Giants, and I hope the 'Skins players are too.

Do you really think that 9/11 means more to the Redskins then the NY Giants?

If we are as good as I believe we are, this team should really lay a walloping on the G-men. They are hurting right now and there is no realistic way they should beat us at home. Seriously, the mediots need to get a grip - if anything, the Skins will be fired up out of a lack of respect.

Look for this to be an emotional, fired up team that is out to make a statement and shut up the neigh-say'ers. :FIREdevil

Absolutely not. I think maybe what he was saying, is from a fan's perspective, it would really suck to lose on that day....for anyone.

Not to harp on the 9/11 angle but on that day we were all fans of the same team, so I'm sure players on both sides will be equally hyped to go out and do well. 9/11 was bigger than New York vs. Washington.

That reality frightens the heck out of me.

Well the games should not be in the hands of Beck or Grossman. Neither of them are elite QBs that can take over a game a carry a team on their shoulders. Unless there is a miracle with Rex (or if Beck was the starter), I hope it doesn't get to the point where the game is in their hands. Well, at least that is the way I see it.

I think it's overhyped. The players are different an while it's an emotional day, it isn't like it happened last year. If that really gives a team more motivation then they aren't professionals. I don't buy into bulletin board stuff either.

Re: Redskins vs. Giants pre-game thread

With all the injuries to the Giants defense it'll be like playing a 2nd team. I really don't see how we lose this game unless our own defense totally blows up and allows Eli to get hot. Not trying to be a homer, but this could be ugly Giant Fans, but you never know! Anyways, my pick.

Redskins 28
Giants 13

Grossman get's many people on the "Eff it, going deep" bandwagon after this game.

Injuries are a part of the game. Time for people to step up. Team sport. I hope we rip them a new one regardless
