What's so confusing about the comparison?

Re: Landry to miss opener vs Giants

I have mixed feelings about Landry; obviously he's a beast on the field but doesn't play smart in coverage at times. He is an impact player but he's always running his mouth & taunting, and that seems to backfire more than help.

On one hand I would like to see him mature & be as great as he can be as a redskin. On the other, if his attitude is a problem (and that appears so at times), his hammy is too & he's not a Shanny guy, I wouldn't be too upset if we got a great return on a trade of him. I don't want to blow this out of proportion but given this latest twitter incident & his contract year, Allen et al will likely be listening to offers.

^^^^^I really wish he could get it together, he hasn't done anything so bad that the coaches or the fans couldn't get over it. He just needs to mature a little....well, a lot.

We drafted 4 safeties between 2006-2008 (Doughty, Landry, Moore, Horton) plus we had Sean Taylor until late 2007...it's crazy to think that Doughty is the only one of the five active for opening day 2011.

Look at all the QB's we went through in the last 10 years. It's par for the course when you change coaches like you're changing your oil.

Yeah, it's not about the changes so much as that Reed is the one standing

And how my QB's did we have start after Rypien and before Snyder bought the team again ? Had to have been 1 right ? This was such a model franchise during the Casserlie/Cooke reign wasn't it ?

Re: Landry to miss opener vs Giants

I would rather see him sit out for a bunch of games than try to play on it too early and screw it up for the rest of the year or his career. I am not that familiar with Achilles injuries but I am sure it can be just as bad as screwing up your knee.

Way too late to place him on the PUP list right?

Landry doesn't owe anything to his fans or team but to get healthy. The team should have sufficient depth to account for injuries. Dude was just frustrated by not recovering well. he wants to play. He wants to be a star.

Knocking landry for talking shit and getting hyped about the game is just stupid.... almost every player does it u see those sound fx shows and wat not... its an intense grown ass mans game.. Landry has made more plays for us thru the years than not, I'm sick of hearing ppl hate the player and not the game.

There's a bit more to it IMO. Yeah, lots of guys talk, but when you talk trash before the game then get burnt on the opening play like he did in the philly game, it brings a lot of negative attention to you.

Landry's issue isn't the talking, that may just be a symptom, his issues are being a good all around safety, not just making the big hit & letting everyone know. I think he's shown what he's capable of yet hasn't put it all together yet. I agree though, he makes more plays than not.

Does LL spitting twice on a player and starting a fight with him bother you in the least, or does LL get a pass yet again for having muscles? What about scheduling vacations during the season, or running his mouth on twitter?

I don't think that people on here so much hate the man, as want him to act better.

The biggest thing about the spitting allegation ...... is the latter word
