Re: Victor Cruz's comments

No big deal; in fact Cruz's comments were more complimentary than anything. And even if the Skins do try to make it bulletin board material, it won't be enough to offset DHall's comments from after the first match-up.

Re: Victor Cruz's comments

I don't think the Redskins need bulletin board material or that anyone has implied they do. I just don't like what he said and that's just the way it is. We've beat them 2 out of the last 3. We're obviously legitimate enough to kick their ass and that's all Cruz needs to worry about. I'm sure not gonna waste my time defending him...he can go screw hisself for all I care. I tend to agree with the writer who said,"RGIII instantly makes the Redskins legitimate." I think I'll go with that. Gosh...I hope I didn't treat him unfairly. Phhhtttt.

Fair enough. But in the end rings are what define legitimate to me. The transitive property is really just a way skins fans justify our inconsistencies.

Victor, you dancing fool. This is how your night will go...you may pull a fast one on us early on but at the end of the night, you'll find yourself used and abused like a toilet.

Reading this thread takes me back to my elementary school days on the playground. There was nothing wrong with what Cruz said. Some of us need to grow up.

Re: Victor Cruz's comments

Much less has been used as BB material by teams. Cruz probably shouldn't have elaborated as much as he did.

It definitely has, but I still think its quite juvenile and a bit lame professionals feel they need that sort of spark to get going.

I'm not usually the type to blame the "media" but maybe a story is being made out of nothing. I don't really know who is to blame, just that I don't like it. I feel it takes away from the actual game on the field.

The fact people treat sports as news is a good start. I'm sorry a player talking about another team is not breaking news and we don't need alerts. Its almost scary how people follow these stars and they're every word like thay are something special. They are just people with a really cool job.

They’re still a couple pieces away from actually being a contender, them being in legitimate talks for playoffs and things like that. They’re still a few pieces away whether it be defensively or wherever they are missing some pieces.
I don't get it...isn't what he said a perfect assessment of the Skins? I guess you guys are really satisfied with current roster because I believe we really need to improve on a number of spots to be considered real contenders. RG3 can get us to places just by himself but not when our horrid pass defense is giving up 80 TD bombs with 1 min to go in the game.

Cruz's take is perfectly legitimate and a fair assessment.

Bet he wouldn't have said that if big number 21 was still hunting receivers back there. God I can't wait until we have another roaming safety that scares people. They make football worth watching.

Re: Victor Cruz's comments

I don't care if there's some truth in what he said or not. Your mother might be ugly and if you want to say so fine. But if I say so, even if it's true, there might be some trouble. It's not his place to say whether the Redskins belong in the conversation of legitimate playoff contenders or not. Now I'm not all bent out of shape about it. In fact some of these posts are kinda funny. Some of you guys seem pretty serious about defending Cruz. Some of us need to grow up? LMAO! Who gives a f***? It's a football game not a tea party. I hope he gets his ass handed to him. In fact I hope we beat 'em so bad they're still thinking about it next week. Screw Cruz and screw the Giants. HTTR baby!!!
