If rg3 continues to play well and stays healthy there will be a ton of bandwagon fans in the coming years.

Dude's ....was Fletcher pumped for that Giants game or what!!! It was cool they did the microphone on him for the game....I still have a mental picture of him bustin' Bradshaws ass on the sideline and yellin' "Com'on chump....thats right....It's on"
Get'em Fletcher....It's on! Get'em pumped...HTTR.... |

Re: Ravens V Redskins - Beltway Brawl or Maryland Massacre?
While I appreciate the big Monday Night win, and I won't downplay the fact that the Skins have swept the last three games against the NFC East, two of those games on a National stage, one on the road....I still am suspect about this defense...and it does get worse with the loss of C Griff. Perhaps Haslett is creative enough to mask yet another key loss with his "scheming"...but I am of the opinion, the loss of CG will be noticeable.
To me, the offense must play lights out, and we will need some help from special teams in order to pull this game out, and down the stretch. This is the playoffs. Our playoffs started three weeks ago... 7-0 lets go! |

Just finished watching Cleveland 95 A Football Life. One of the best i've seen. Belicek coaching tree and management style was profiled, just amazing. He signed Scott Pioli for $14,000.

Re: Ravens V Redskins - Beltway Brawl or Maryland Massacre?
This is going to be a fun one to watch.
Unlike a few years ago, when it was 2 top 10 defenses going at it, this time its going to be 2 top offenses going at it. Ed Reed today said RG3 is like superman, and for RG3 to not run the ball is like telling superman to not fly. Do we have a CB fast enough to cover Torrey? I don't think so.. Side note: Inside the NFL guys all picked us to beat the ravens. Also London was on Jim Romes new show. Jim asked him about our chances of going on a run in the playoffs. Londons response didn't sound too confident at first, then he said we've been playing our best football and we'll see. He didn't flat out say "Oh I definitely think we can go on a run"...

^^ Got a put a safety over T Smith all game long, simple as that. I like that we're not overly confident, it means we should be ready for every game.

Re: Ravens V Redskins - Beltway Brawl or Maryland Massacre?
I'm loving what the Redskins are doing on both sides of the ball. Now, if only the secondary can get it together. I think it could come down to Forbath nailing a 45 yard FG for the game winner with 2 seconds remaining in the game. When was the last time the Redskins had this kind of thrilling win?

Re: Ravens V Redskins - Beltway Brawl or Maryland Massacre?
I should start another thread here with this " Iron Man Fletcher or Iron Man Ray Lewis". But since Ray won't play because his iron seems to be turning to pot metal I won't start it.
I'm hoping Fletcher pumps up the D and we get a smack down on the Balt crows actually. Think of the message it spreads to the AFC side. Ravens are quiet now licking there wounds from Steeler whoopin' on 'em nows the time to kick'em when there down. With Lewis out they actually play somewhat faster. I suspect with Suggs injury even if he plays he won't extend that arm to tackel but bull rush and still set the edge. Anthow it seems even though Lewis made more probowls the real iron man is still makin' plays. Get'em Fletch....pump'em up!!!! |

I just really really want to win this one. the years of abuse I have taken from Raven's fans has been enough. To shut them up would be tremendous.

Re: Ravens V Redskins - Beltway Brawl or Maryland Massacre?
By the way, our last regular season win against an AFC opponent was Dec 26th, 2010 against Jacksonville in OT 20-17, our last non-overtime win was Dec 21st, 2009 against Oakland 34-13.
We are 0-2 (obviously) against the AFC North so far, so even though I think we match up well with both the Ravens and Cleveland, I think it's gonna be hard to beat them both. |

Re: Ravens V Redskins - Beltway Brawl or Maryland Massacre?
Well, I have friends who live in the Baltimore area, and what some of you described in regards to Ravens fans is absolutely true. There is one friend who says that the only Super Bowl that counts for the Redskins is the '91 Super Bowl. his reasoning was that the Redskins played in strike shortened years, and if the those teams had played a full 16 game schedule, they would not have went to the Super Bowl and yadda yadda yadda. I told him that was the standard for being a true Super Bowl Champion, then all of the teams that had won the Super Bowl and earlier NFL Championships prior to the season going to 16 games should also be stripped of their Championship titles from those seasons.
He didn't have anything else to say about that afterward, but he did call Jack Kent Cooke a POS for trying his best to block the Browns from moving into Baltimore, since of course it would have eaten into the Redskins market. I told him any owner would have done the same thing. But anyways, great guys otherwise, but I DO sense some sort of arrogance among them being Ravens fans. Even now, they feel there is no doubt the Ravens will beat the Redskins soundly, because they buy into the same old song dance about Daniel Snyder, and etc... So, I despise the Baltimore Ravens. Mostly because of their fans who are turn coats and fair weather fans. I guarantee if the Ravens start to go down the toilet bowl and the 'skins start rising up to the top, you'll see them jump ship again. With all of that said, IF the 'skins are to drop one of the last four games remaining, I would MUCH rather it be against either the Ravens or the Browns. Because, I DO have a feeling the Giants are going to end at 9-7 again, and if the 'skins go 3-1, they will win the division. Of course, you can't count on the Giants dropping two games, and ultimately I feel the 'skins need to win out, but in terms of momentum, it's best of the 'skins to drop their one game against the Ravens and finish strong beating the Browns, Eagles, and Cowboys. It's going to be a tough game and I still believe if the 'skins win this weekend, they're finishing 10-6, winning the division, and making the playoffs.
