I enjoyed my experience this past year in stl but honestly I'd rather watch at home.

it took that dick one year of success. in the article you'll note how they compare us to the giants and cowboys ticket prices, almost as if the redskins are justifying it by saying two other teams in our division still have higer prices. you know what else those two teams have a new figgin stadium, not an old dump thats been recently stripped down to the bones.

as a season ticket holder for 9 years now and a skins fan for 30 years, i would just like to say f you danny, f you.
Be careful what you wish for with the new stadium. A new stadium will also bring even higher ticket prices along with the biggest fan ripoff of all time...the PSL! FedEx was built before owners came up with the PSL idea. I dread the day when the skins build a new stadium...Snyder gets a new toy and I get the bill. No thanks...

I didn't see it that way when they played at RFK. If they put a new stadium there again you could take the metro and there's Capital Hill next door. Landover is the pits.

Exactly. Right now is the best time of the year to buy TVs as well. If you don't have one, you should jump in this deal from Best Buy this week. $1,000 off on a great TV. I should get commission for this.

I would recommend no one takes his advice to by that TV. Its an active 3D tv which means you have to wear heavy, glasses with batteries that cause eye strain. Passive 3D (whats used in movie theaters) is a simpler, better all around technology.

I think that's your opinion and nothing factual. As noted below...

Active 3D vs. passive 3D: What's better? | TV and Home Theater - CNET Reviews

Quote:
The bottom line
Sorry, no winners, only whiners. Both 3D methods are flawed in serious ways. Glasses-less (autostereoscopic) 3D, if it ever makes it mainstream, is going to have its own major flaws.

My advice? Figure out how much time you'll spend watching 2D versus 3D, and how far you're going to sit from your chosen screen size. If you're like most people, you'll be watching far more 2D, in which case I recommend getting the TV that looks better with 2D. If you think you'll watch a lot of 3D, passive might be better, but only if you're sitting far enough away (or your TV is small enough) that you can't see the "interlace" lines.

Also, you aren't required to wear the glasses unless you are using the 3D features on the TV. Which is going to be very little.

Tickets-$75 x 10 = $750
10% Tax= $75
Parking $40 x 10 = $400
----------------------
Total: $1225

That's the grand total for ONE seasons worth of viewing the Redskins at FedEx. Double that if you want to bring a friend. Now, this doesn't even factor in the costs of gas, food, and other game day related items that would incur a cost.

All that for one season's worth of entertainment. Now add in the fact that if you drop 1500 on a TV, you get to use it everyday, all year round. Not only that, the next season, you won't have to drop 1500 again to view your favorite team. Investment wise, this is a no brainer.

NFL games have always been overpriced. This is no surprise. Been to a couple of games as a guest or a gift and I would never pay to go to a pro game myself.

BJ's has HD tv's at around $1,000. Same size as your $1,500 tv. Just sayin'...

Yea, and put in some nice granite tiles... But no that's not what I want, what I would like I'd to be able to follow the game while waiting in line for 10 minutes to piss. Is it that hard to throw a 20inch TV in there? All that's in there now is a muffled and unaudiable radio broadcast, which isn't even worth listening to in the first place.

Look I understand its a bussiness, but you take care of your clients. The redskins don't do that. They don't cater to the fans and there is no game day experience. Just think about going to a caps game, all the free crap they give out during breaks to keep the fans interactive through it the game. At fedex they just throw commercial after commercial at you.

In the end I am the only one to blame, because I love my team so much I'd put up with a lot to remain a season ticket holder. I think today broke the straw. I think I am going to reduce the amount of tickets I have and only go to a few games and sell the rest. And to someone that has only missed 3 home games in about a decade that's a pretty big deal.

I think it simply comes down to what folks want to spend their money on. $1,225 isn't a lot of money for 10 games, if you're paying for yourself. Add in everything else and it's probably a few more hundred dollars. I actually thought it was more. Now if you're talking about taking multiple people then that's another story.

Re: Redskins increase the price of tickets, parking at FedEx Field

ummmmmm, with our winning the NFC East, having a bunch of stud rookie pro bowlers, the best rookie QB of all time, and fan (as well as national) attention and following at an all time high, is this really all that surprising?

Just one more reason to get comfy on my couch, and keep first row sports in my boomarks!

Waaaay overpriced. It all boils down to whether you think that product is worthy of the price being charged. I, like you, think that it is not worth the price of admission. I think many fans do it out of some sort of "loyalty" or with a mindset that the tickets will increase in value and they'll be sitting on a gold mine.

I just posted one that I thought was a good deal. By all means, if people can find a better deal than go with it. Also, Samsung is by far the best quality TV on the market these days. I bought my parents one last year for their 50th anniversary. I'm such a great kid. :P
