Are you serious? I understood EXACTLY why, I simply said I didn't agree and thought it should be cut out as well. Anyways, if you had read the comment, you'd find out a viewpoint from a Venezuelan, and it wasn't all that pleasant.

Re: Hugo Chavez Dead
???,or do you mean Joe Kennedy? Joseph P. Kennedy II - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Venezuela Beginning in 2005, Citgo Petroleum Company (Citgo), a wholly owned subsidiary of Petróleos de Venezuela (PDVSA) — the Venezuelan state-owned oil company — has been the primary donor of heating oil to Citizens Energy. The Wall Street Journal and others criticized Citizens Energy for continuing its relationship with the Venezuelan government and Venezuelan President Hugo Chávez, a harsh critic of U.S. President George W. Bush.[42] In response, Kennedy and others[43][44] have argued that it is hypocritical to criticize a non-profit organization for accepting oil from Venezuela while numerous other American businesses are profiting from robust trade with Venezuela and at a time when the U.S. government has cut low-income fuel assistance.[45] During the last two years, Citgo donated eighty-three million gallons of oil, which was used to provide heating assistance to an estimated 200,000 families a year in twenty-three states.[46]

I was in NYC last week and was absolutely SHOCKED when i saw the commercial of Joe Kennedy praising Chavez and the good people of Venezuelan. This was right before Hugo dies so im guessing they just run commercials like that all the time up there? Crazy liberals.

This is why the conventually thought of polotical spectrum shouldnt be called a spectrum. Facism and Socialism are both forms of Statism. If they were ploted on the color spectrum they would both just be different sheens of red, opposite Libertarism violet.

Re: Hugo Chavez Dead
My original counterpoint was that even though he may have been a hero to some he was a dick to others:
HRW The weakening of Venezuela’s democratic system of checks and balances under President Hugo Chávez has contributed to a precarious human rights situation. Without judicial checks on its actions, the government has systematically undermined the right to free expression, workers’ freedom of association, and the ability of human rights groups to protect rights. Not sure why Lotus even bought up ideology other than to divert the conversation to a place he felt comfortable. |

It still amazes me that the Nazis are called "right-wing", and Communism "left-wing". The National Socialist Worker's Party that Hitler ran was left wing, like the Communist parties they fought against as rivals (political opponents in Germany early on, the USSR militarily). |
