I may be in the minority, but I find it laughable and ridiculous that there are apparently only 21 quarterbacks in the history of the NFL worse than Patrick Ramsey...

There's definitely a bunch of guys far worse than him.

Some of those guys played for the Redskins. Ain't that right, Heath?

I actually liked Patrick Ramsey, could never understand why he never got a chance in the NFL really after we let him go.

Can somebody who knows football better than me tell me what was so wrong with Ramsey as a QB? He seemed pretty smart, athletic, and had a rifle for an arm... I always thought he looked decent with us. maybe average, little more, little less...

Not accurate, didn't find the right open WRs/poor decision making, wasn't poised in the pocket.

Re: Where are they now . .

Was he ever given a good chance here, i mean did we ever have a decent enough team during his years as starter where a standard / basic QB could do well? It seems to me that other than Dan's first year as owner, we only had decent teams in 2005, 2007, and 2011 - present. I seem to remember Ramsey playing pretty well when he came in in relief of Brunell in 2005 when his legs were banged up...

He was given more than a fair shot. In year three he was making the same mistakes he was making as a rookie. Too slow to find receivers and bad decision making. Plagued him with every team he played for.

Re: Where are they now . .

I was around the team a lot during Ramsey's rookie season, as well as the months leading up to him being drafted. And I would say three things rather definitively 1: He wasn't really wanted from the start. He was choice #4 or 5 on draft day, 2. He never really endeared himself, or even really made an effort to, to his teammates and 3. He was kind of lazy

Not sure about Dave Bostic, but Jeff Bostic and his brother are still trying to clean up their failed construction company.

Side note, I used to live in a complex they built and thought it was pretty nice.

Don't forget about the year of Brad Johnson. The Redskins of that year came a field goal short of the NFC Championship Game against the St. Louis Rams Greatest Show on Turf and would have made for an interesting, high scoring game.

I was just with Dave Butz a few weeks ago. He is still working with the NRA and is also partnering in some sort of commercial construction business.
