An unhealthy RG3 outperformed Luck in each of their playoff games, and RG3 played against the better defense and had no knee. Luck is just Matt Stafford but with a weaker arm, in terms of lots of yards, but also a lot of turnovers and a bad completion percentage. Wilson and Colin have an argument, I think they both played big in big moments. Luck right now has a lot more to prove but all the ESPN folks want to be proven right with Luck so they of course overrate him. |

Re: ESPN Unveils 2013 Jaws’ QB Countdown List
RG3 at 13 is too low. Wilson and Kaepernick get artificially elevated because they play with elite offensive lines. Griffin vaulted us to the playoffs in spite of our offensive line.
Wilson played real well when defenses put pressure on him, but so did RG3 and he was under pressure more often. I think both Griffin and Wilson are here to stay, but Griffin is head and shoulders better. Kaepernick will fizzle out.

Re: ESPN Unveils 2013 Jaws’ QB Countdown List
Ultimate test:
- Is Marshawn Lynch good on his own, or did Russell Wilson make him good? Look at the history, beast mode was a beast before Wilson arrived. - Is Frank Gore good on his own, or did Kaepernick make him good? Again, look at the stats ladies and gents. - Now, is Alfred Morris good on his own, or did RG3 make him better? Obviously he made him better. Morris does not have the elite skills that could set a franchise rushing record (over Riggins, Portis, and Stephen Davis). Griffin's multi-faceted threat made Morris at least 200 yards better than he otherwise would have been.

Re: ESPN Unveils 2013 Jaws’ QB Countdown List
Jaws thought Jason Campbell was a good QB. That's all that needs to be said. It's not that I think Jaws doesn't know QBs, he does. He's just full of shit when it comes to things like this. I would say the exact same thing if he had RGIII ranked #1.

I think RG3, Wilson, Luck, and Kaep will all dominant the league for the next decade. They're the new Mannings, Brady, Brees, etc.

It is neat to watch "the changing of the guard" again. From Marino-Elway-Montana, to Manning-Brady, to hopefully RG3-Rodgers-whoever else stays elite.

Right now I wouldn't take any QB over ARod. But if u asked me that in 4 years I'd say Griffin. Tom Brady to me, as I've said many times on here is the best QB of all time and yes his numbers and wins back that up, but he's getting old and only has a few yrs left IMO. I agree with matt on those 4 mentioned.

Re: ESPN Unveils 2013 Jaws’ QB Countdown List
People get carried away with this "Best of ALL TIME " crap, the game was different for Montana and Marino ,teams were different some had good D's others were stacked on Offense. Bradshaw never had to carry a team by himself at the end of a game between his D and his O weapons ,Stuabach was awesome in the clutch....etc. Stats are great but as been said before the only stat that matters in the end is did they win the super bowl ?Hell even the fields and stadiums are different now ,everyone has their own opinion ...mine is Johnny Unitas, the man was perfect on the field.

Re: ESPN Unveils 2013 Jaws’ QB Countdown List
Marino was probably the best pure passer I've seen, Montana would get my vote for tops of all time for being so cool under pressure and playing his best with a game on the line. But really, you could make an argument for a number of guys. It's splitting hairs after a while.
