thrash had good returns, i like him better than betts (who doesn't have the speed and doesnt get that many yards, even though he's the only one that can break tackles).

I don't remember too many people beating up Brown for his fumble. I think we all knew he was not the first option, and with the injuries we had, we were happy he did as well as he did. I wish the fumble hadn't happened, but I bet Brown feels the same way.

i was a bit mad we (the team, not brown indiviually) found another way to lose a closes game, but it happens... and i had already been impressed by his skill (for a no name midseason pickup) at that point.

Re: Skins resign Clemons

I like the resigning of Clemons because in his small amount of playing time, he frequently made an impact and getting that from situational players is huge.

And as far as the cut Morton thing that's spreading like wildfire, I thought it had been discussed in a thread a while back that cutting him would increase his cap hit ala Coles, but not that extremely. So why would they cut a player and cost themselves more cap space than if they kept him, if the player in question is someone we can use and who wants to play here still?

One fumble isn't going to send him to the waiver wire on this board, two fumbles is a different story though! LOL

Re: Skins resign Clemons

You were right, only one person asked for him to be cut! Sorry. Looking back at old threads during the season is actually pretty fun. That game is around page 64.

I was upset about that, but he more than made up for it at the end of the year.

Re: Skins resign Clemons

Nice move signing Clemons back! He seemed to make an impact every time he made it in a game, which was sparingly.

As for the whole returner thing, someone said that the blocking needs to get better......well maybe, just maybe at least part of the reason Scott di so well was because the blocking had gotten better. Remember, Betts had a long return towards the end of the season too.
I say keep all of them and let them fight it out in training camp.

Ran across this on espn.com. This may be a low level type of resiging; but I'm very excited to see what Williams can do with this kid. He came up with a few big plays last year; so hopefully we can get some good production here.
i am new 2 this site, but not new to redskins football, 20+ years i've spent following this team, i'm glad they resigned clemmons, i'm still pretty salty over loosing smoot, pierce i wasn't happy about loosing, but SMOOOOOOOT, is a HUGE loss! think about this, he has learned from some of the very best in the game, darrell green, & champ bailey, so i really hope harris is the answer, or draft antrell rolle or mr. pac man jones, our d-fense requires heavily on our corners to be lock down guys,
& what about gardner & cortney brown, lets kick some ass! go skins!!!!!!
peace out.
