Re: Baltimore.

OK, I can accept a temporary hatred for the Eagles that is more intense than that of the Cowboys, so long as the reason is that you want desperately to see the Redskins finally take down the Eagles. But I have a feeling, that at the end of the day, once the Eagles have fallen from their perch, the intense Eagle hatred will fade and we'll be left with the deeply rooted hatred that we all have for the Cowboys.

Just a hypothetical: let's say the Redskins are 14-1 and have the division locked up. The Cowboys and Eagles are playing the last game of the season, and both teams are 9-6. Let's say the winner goes to the playoffs, and the loser goes home. Who are you rooting for?

Seriously, though, between quarterback bounties, geographic proximity, the most obnoxious fans in the league (and their delight in the recognition of such), and near complete dominance since Kotite left, the Eagles are the biggest dog on the block. Maintaining a "Cowboys-first" mentality is like two corner stores trying to undercut each other's business - with a WalMart down the street.

If (when) we sweep the Cowboys next year, I'll be beyond thrilled, but it will be universally thought of as the Cowboys losing steam. If (when) we sweep the Eagles, well, there's anew sherriff in town.
I like that, most definitely. Not only that, the thing that upsets me the most even if we sweep AND stomp the Cowboys next year, Cowboys fans will be like, "So? How many years in a row have we dominated you?" That will eat into the very core of my soul.

Injuries.

With those records, I'd be concerned about matchups, so whoever would present us with he most appealing Division game two weeks later.

The dislike of the Eagles is a little more than temporary. I loathe Eagles fans, and really don't mind the Cowboys fans. Conversely, I have some respect for the Eagles organization, but little for Dallas. So when we beat the Cowboys, I am self-satisfied. When we beat the Eagles, I'm tempted to get up in some Philly fan's grill and let them know. Two different dislikes, one complete person.

Heres my list:

1. Cowboys
2. Eagles
3. Giants
4. Ravens
5. Rams

I don't know why but eversince the Rams beat the Titans (I was rooting for the Titans) in the SB, I began to hate them.

Re: Baltimore.

1.)Cowpies
2.)Iggles
3.)Little Giants
4.)Baltimore
5.)Tampa Bay: they've had some of the most outspokenly arrogant, over-rated players in the last decade and I still haven't really gotten over them beating us in the playoffs when turk bumbled the field goal snap.

a close 6 would be either the rams or the broncos. I've hated the broncos since elway was there, but even more so this past year when chump went there.

1. Dallas Cowboys
2. Philadelphia Eagles
3. NY Giants
4. Oakland Raiders

That Super Bowl loss in '83 against the Raiders still leaves a bitter taste in my mouth!

Re: Baltimore.

It has been documented on the Warpath numerous times on how I despise the Ravens and their obnoxious fans....

1. Cowboys - The #1 arch-rival has to top the list.
2. Eagles - since they are the tops of the division for now, they are more of co-#1 most hated, especially with their obnoxious fans.
3. Giants
4. Ravens
5. Dolphins/Raiders - SB's VII & XVIII

As for the Cowboys/Eagles game question: Tie....and hopefully someone else takes the spot.

Re: Baltimore.

i avoided this thread at first...baltimore...bleh...

however, i'm glad i dropped in...

I don't hate the Raiders, just Al Davis. They hardcore fans are great...at least they're not like Dodger fans...in around the top of the 3rd, out by the bottom of the 7th...

i will not hate any teams more than our division rivals (Cowboys, Eagles, Giants) and the Ravens (a geographical rival).

A question to those guys who hate the Eagles most...would you hate them just as much if they haven't smelled the success they have the past few years? If they were below .500 every year for the past several, would you hate them more than the Cowboys?

All Redskins fans for as long as I can remember...hate the Cowboys first and foremost. I have yet to see a t-shirt say, "I like the Redskins, and whomever plays the Eagles"...

i live in MD, but consider myself a DC Homer...when the Ravens came to town, I said, cool...whatever, i'm a Skins fan. I've watched people move to the dark side, and that's a big reason why i can't stand the Ravens...

Duh... the Ravens are winning.

You, me and the rest of the real fans will laugh all the way to the Super Bowl.

Re: Baltimore.

Ideal situation: The Ravens staying in mediocrity while the Redskins get back to glory and back to the SB the next couple years.........while at the same time, the Orioles keep sucking and the Nationals win the World Series within 5 years to sway the casual fans back to DC just like the Ravens did after they came to the area.

Re: Baltimore.

1. Cowboys (born and raised in TX as a skins fan... sick of the rednecks)
2. Eagles (fans are stupid, & T.O. + McNabb = way too cocky with their little dances)
3. Jets (Chad Penningtons little stunt with the media...coles)
4. Baltimore (ray lewis & deon sanders... whats not to hate?)
5. Any team with terrell owens or randy moss.

EXACTLY Malcom Connection........Since I live in Texas I have to put up with all the Cryboy trash talk..........i pointed out we had the same record....
and their response is.......well as long as we beat the Redskins that's like winning the Super Bowl, beating the Redskins is all that matters ...........Gee I hope we have a Redskin SWEEP of the Cryboys next year.................
