Re: 49ers Postgame Thread
Did not see Thomas play but was wondering how he did.
Lots of good things. Two bad things - OLine's pass blocking, RGIII. O-Line's run blocking was okay but a lot of the yards Morris got were yards he created. The passing game is simply horrible right now - and it's not b/c of play design or lack of skill by the WR's. Sure, there have been some drops but receivers are open and, significantly more often than not, catches are made when the ball is in the vicinity. Can't do elite plays with a QB & O-Line that can't do basic sh**. This is going to be a long five games. If Griffin does not produce or show significant improvement, we will be looking for a QB in the offseason. Trade him to a team that will let him sit and improve and hope to get a 3rd or 4th for him. <sigh> So, what would be looking at had we just held our ground, drafted Tanehill (and used the other three picks for BPA's)? <double sigh>

Does he stop trying to instill an NFL passing playbook 11 games into his first HC job and just call the junk that got garcon 113 catches last year (drags, screens, crosses = plays that dont require timing, anticipation or reading a key defender) or Does he continue to struggle trying to find a balance of what RG3 can do and still utilizing his playbook. Week in, week out seems like it is trial and error with a lot of fails. Mcvay was here the last couple years so i imagine he is telling gruden what kinda worked last year... idk .. tough to ask a rookie HC to swallow his pride and vision and replace it with HS stuff that still wont win but make your star Qb look less horrible .... even if it is a mirage. |

Re: 49ers Postgame Thread
It must be obvious by now even to his staunchest supporters that RGIII just can't play QB in this league.
He shouldn't even suit up next week.

Loved this quote from John Keim regarding the Boldin/Haslett incident:
Anquan Boldin on jawing with Jim Haslett: "I don't even give that a second thought. He's irrelevant."

Re: 49ers Postgame Thread
I'm a little more positive than some of you guys. Overall we competed well against a tough team on the road.
Positives: Keenan Robinson! After being held back by injuries early in his career, he has proven to be worth keeping. Entire D: our sucky secondary was badly depleted and still we held a decent offense to 17 points Negatives: Amerson, shame on you Can't do epic things with a basic quarterback

Re: 49ers Postgame Thread
When you have to dumb down your passing game you got a QB problem.
Poor RG3, no one is chanting R G 3! R G 3! anymore.

I ask this because of the recent report that RGIII's family's special privileges were revoked. While it is good that a positive change was made, who thought that giving RGIII and clan special privileges was a good idea in the first place? I thought that Bruce was supposed to be the "professional" that kept such nonsense from happening. I thought that Bruce was supposed to be the "professional" who would realize his own limitations and hire a real GM.

As long as Snyder is in charge accountability can only be achieved through the fans. Don't buy Skins merchandise or tickets. It's that simple.
