Re: How the draft looks if we trade down
This is what is going to happen......pick number 5 is on the clock, Jameis Winston is going to be available and we are going to be in a stare down on whether to draft him or not.
Cleveland calls and we trade down to one of their 2 1st round picks and a 2nd or 3rd rounder. Day one is a win IMO |

Re: How the draft looks if we trade down
it's too early. trade downs depend entirely on who you end up with at the end of the day. if you trade down and your guy gets taken before your new pick, it can be a bad deal.
in general, getting more players in round 1-3 is better though. we're not even to the combine and pro days yet though, so the draft boards will change a lot between now and then (even though they probably shouldn't). |

Whats gonna suck is when everyone realizes Amari Cooper is the best player in the draft outside of Leonard Williams. And then we can have the arguement of why we didnt take him 2 years from now.

Re: How the draft looks if we trade down
If we have an opportunity to get an additional 1 especially from a bad team for next year draft, we should take it immediately. Hate to be that guy, you know the ones who's right, but next years draft will way more stacked that this one imo.

Re: How the draft looks if we trade down
Draft boards will most certainly change given that we don't even know who is coming out yet.

Re: How the draft looks if we trade down
And FA changes a lot of teams boards. This is all speculation obviously. Although that Eagles win was nice, losing that game would've put us at 3 where Leonard Williams would fall to us.

No one is picking Collins in the top 5.

Re: How the draft looks if we trade down
Agreed. He's great in the box but lacks the coverage skills a #5 pick needs.

Re: How the draft looks if we trade down
If we do get an additional 2nd round pick from a trade down and we can go Oline and Dline with a first and the other second....Melvin Gordon RB from Wisconsin. Him and Alfmo in the backfield would be ballin.

Re: How the draft looks if we trade down
