Re: Star Wars Episode III
LOL Sorry, let me clarify. I've never been a fan of the NEW Star Wars. AND, since I have those connections at the theater, I can watch private showings for free. So since I get bored sometimes at night and don't have to spend a dime, it's all good for me.

Re: Star Wars Episode III
Episode III was by far the best of episodes I- III. I thought the movie was great...comparable to Empire Strikes Back.
I do think us older guys have more attachment to the Star Wars stuff because we grew up in the era of the first Trilogy. Guys older than me would probably have argued that the movies in the 80's were trash where I felt there were alot of good classic movies from that era (wow..I feel old calling 80's movies classics..lol) I loved the Indiana Jones Trilogy, Star Wars, and Back to the Future. Movies nowadays have awesome special effects, but you have to respect how movie makers back in the 80's and before then had to improvise without the use of computer animation.

Re: Star Wars Episode III
Natalie Portman is the worst actress EVER. She's not even high school play quality.

Re: Star Wars Episode III
I dunno. Natalie Portman really doesn't light my fire. If I saw her on the street I'd be like "Meh."

Re: Star Wars Episode III
Whaaa?! I have to admit that I've taken a chance on a couple of those. They're pretty cool little things even though I'm not really a fan.
I guess I'm just a fan of pop culture.

Re: Star Wars Episode III
Natalie Portman is pretty damn hot - in that next door neighbor sort of way.
She's actually a good actress MC, but Lucas' directing style is such that the actors read their lines in a very, very, very dry fashion. She was good as a kid and almost won on Oscar for "The Professional." Go see it, she's damn good for a 14 year old. In addition to Lucas' directing style making Portman look bad, some of the dialogue was trash. Harrison Ford said on the set of "Star Wars: A New Hope," "Geroge, you can write this shit, but you can't say it." |

Re: Star Wars Episode III
Leave it to Harrison Ford to be a badass. One of my favs of all time. Aight, I'll concede about the acting, but I'll say she's WAAAAAAAAAAY low on my list of hotties.

LOL, come on Malcolm, you obviously haven't seen the movie Showgirls with Elizabeth Berkely - the girl that played Jesse in "Saved by the Bell"? That was the worst acting ever! You can't really judge an actor by what they do in Star Wars. Funny thing you guys mentioned Harrsion Ford. He has been in some great movies!

Re: Star Wars Episode III
Yeah, I've been to a Maddox site before. He's about as intelligent as a rock.
I can't say that I have found any of his "commentary" (using that word lightly) at all entertaining or coherent.
