I think this has 2 issues: 1. Your point is the ultimate driver. I know many die hard skins fans from JKC era that can't stomach the Snyder era redskins. It absolutely kills them. 2. A lot of dc sports is "x is my first team" and the dc team is their second team because of either social/business schmoozing or they genuinely enjoy having season tickets and watching the sport. For example, have any of you ever been to caps games? Many season ticket holders rock the red for 80 games a year then when the Detroit red wings or Buffalo Sabres come to town, you see those same people in Detroit and buffalo jerseys. I had caps season tickets for years and years and these people made me laugh. Rabid caps fans for 80 games and then hardcore wings fans for the 2 Detroit visits. |

I did enjoy asking several giants fans if they liked that throughout the walk to the car. Great game, let's keep it up down the stretch.

Re: First place Redskins
I think the skins and giants both finish 8-8 and it'll be ours due to better div record

Re: First place Redskins
I think we will have to win one or two on the road to make it to the playoffs.

I think we win in Dallas and in Philadelphia to lock it all up.

Re: First place Redskins
I will also say this.. and I hate bitching after such a great win. But Gruden and McVay are piss poor play callers. They call the game to get a few yards here and there, not to score points. The game today should not have even been close. Too many conservative calls throughout the game and NY was leaving our wr's on the outside 1 on 1 the majority of the game.
Plus Jackson is not even really a part of the offense. He wasn't even in the game that much. Grant might have had more snaps than Jackson. Why?? Have to drawn up more plays for him. Inexcusable. Really impressed with the way the secondary played. A lot more man to man bump and run. Great game plan by Barry. |

Grant blew a terrible block on a run where we should have gained a first but ended a 3 and out in the 3rd. |

Also, re: Jackson. I totally agree. That guy is a threat to take the ball to the house any time he touches it, so why not draw up more plays specifically for him? I appreciate how he can get behind a secondary, but his acceleration is also other-worldly and if you send him on a crossing pattern and let him catch it in space he is likely gone as well or at least down half the field. This was the point I was trying to make about Coordinators and the difference between designing an offense and being a good play caller. I don't think the Gruden/McVay combo has proved to be good at play calling as of yet. |

Loved the win, loved the first three quarters. Hope we go into playoffs, but more realistically -- hope this carries over to next season with another good offseason, we could be on our way to being a good consistent team. BTW - we need a freaking running game. We did better but still struggled to run the ball again, with tons of zero-yard runs. We're built for a run-first offense but we're instead leaning too much on Kirk. He's done well but really need the run game to carry us. Recent games we've lost were the ones they stopped our run game & Kirk couldn't save us. |

Re: First place Redskins
I think part of the problem is that there are a lot DC residents that come from other states, and often they are ones that can afford the games.
