They can try but their personnel on D is not the same as Dallas. On top of their already inferior D isnt their secondary banged up?

The Cowboys have a good pass rushing defense. I figured they would give us fits, but also expected us to adjust a lot quicker.

The Eagles have Trent Cole but overall I don't think their pass rush is nearly as fierce as Dallas's.
Fletcher Cox, Graham, Thorton, Barwin, Ryan, Kendricks are pretty good players and Billy Davis is a solid DC. Trent Cole plays for the Colts.

Rowe who is replacing Nolan Carroll will be out, Maxwell might be out too.

Yeah. Couple that with Philly's very mediocre defense and I think we are going to lite them up.
Edit: very mediocre front 7 i meant

Bit of good news:

Bennie Logan, who wasn't in the locker room when reporters were today, has a calf strain and is unlikely to play this week, per NFL source.

If the line can protect then we should be able to hit some big plays. Their secondary is a mess. They're playing EJ Biggers lol.

My ideal game would be similar to the Bills game where we jump out to a nice lead and pad it a bit so it takes away the ability of Philly to get back in the game off 1 or 2 "back-breaking" plays. Our defense usually gives up 1-2 HR plays a game. I really hope they stay disciplined enough to prevent that.

The whole thing about Chip Kelley's pace on offense? It only truly works if they are ending drives in points. It does their defense no service to be going at such a fast pace and coming off the field quickly in the even of not converting downs.

Our team should be not only smelling blood, but seeing the prize that awaits them with a victory. There is no better situation to be in than controlling your own destiny and getting it done.

'Skins 28
Eagles 17

P.S. Any injury updates for the 'Skins yet?
You gotta remember that Chris Culliver was guarding all those deep passes and wasn't healthy at all that game

He'd an alternate, how about Breeland? He should be in it.

I would say it was a combination of gruden thinking that game could be won 13-10 and Sean Lee just being an absolute beast.

The only way Dallas was going to win that game was making it a low scoring slugfest, I don't know how the coaching staff didn't see that opening it up and getting ahead by a couple of scores would have killed Dallas chances of winning.

I doubt anyone on Eagles pulls a Sean Lee performance but the coaching staff better be ready to offset that kind of blue print scheme and it's not that hard, a couple of screen passes and the opponent has to back off. For whatever reason, they tried to beat it with runs and Cowboys blew it up almost every time.

Re: Saturday Night Fever - Eagles v Redskins edition

The Eagles don't fucking deserve this game. They've been seriously garbage most of the season and a few lucky breaks makes them relevant? It's our time. Talk about a team that has no business in the playoffs. We're not great, but goddamn, if there is ONE team that deserves to be there, it's us.
