Re: 2016 Redskins Salary Cap Status
They have Martrell Spaight who they were really high on in the preseason, plus where we pick in the draft there are two or three really good ILB, there is no way they pay Riley, who is good but is still a liability in pass coverage.

Yes, cant forget about Spaight. I think a Foster/Spaight combo would work for the future. Riley is done. I did like the way we were able to use the concussion protocol to basically "redshirt" the dude. He wasn't ready to play, basically put him on the bench for the future.

Spaight is probably a step too slow to be very good in coverage. Other than that, I like everything about him. He is said to be a student of the game, so he might be able to compensate for his lack of speed by reading the offensive formations and anticipating the plays. Like you, I think they may draft an ILB. I hope so, anyway. I have been a Mason Foster fan since Day 1 of his NFL career. I was surprised that he was available for us to pick up. I'd really like to see the Skins re-sign him. Compton, Foster, Spaight, and a Rookie might not be too bad at ILB.

Josh Gordan is still under contract with the Browns so it's not like we can sign him as a FA. Same with Justin Blackmon and the Jaguars.

Just hope that Kirk is not a one hit wonder. Like RGIII seemed to be.

If Hatcher retires does that change his cap number.... as opposed to being released
