They have to play Detroit at home and Philly and Wash. on the road, no easy task.

I also think we're all getting damn greedy.

If you told me last year this would be our record right now, I'd have literally done back-flips.

Most of us picked us to have a worse record but be a better team. I think we could say with confidence that's what happened this year. The Bengals tie still pisses me off to no end (AND the Lions loss, but it looks like he's doing that to everyone) but we're doing damn good considering where we were a few years ago. I think a heavy investment into defense in the offseason to where the offense doesn't have to carry the team and we'll look like a legitimate contender.

How great would it be to kick the Giants out of the playoffs and take their spot in week 17 ?!

...

Ok, sorry, one game at a time, beat Carolina!

Yeah I really don't understand the sour grapes attitude after a division road win.

We're a win away from wrapping up a 2nd straight winning season and we're very much alive for another potential playoff berth, and people are grumbling like we're the Browns or something.

I agree with you, lots to be thankful with where the team is compared to VERY recent years! I think we can get caught up with their potential at times with how they beat the Eagles earlier this year, and wins like the Green Bay game...and we expect them to win "easily" at times against certain teams and when they don't, it's almost disappointing instead of just accepting it as a win.

I thought Kujo was fairly terrible yesterday....he had a tough assignment, but I saw him get dominated in pass pro a couple times and flat out killed on run blocking. Lauvoa is better. Sullivan was decent yesterday. Maybe put Spencer Long in at LG Sullivan at Center.

I think we should slide Bree into slot coverage, see if that helps.

Agreed. Even Cooley and Kevin on their radio show were asking fans if a win would be enough to be happy about the team, Kevin said he wanted a "muscle flexing" performance by the offense to feel as good about this team as he felt after the Green Bay win.

It's a week to week league. There is no guaranteed win. Every game is a war between two of the 32 best football teams on earth... And some teams' strengths match well against others teams' weaknesses, and vice versa. Records don't mean shit.

Be happy to come out victorious of the warpath, and prepare for the next battle!

If someone like Norman comes available make a run at him, otherwise sign low bargain players like Hood, Ricky Jean and Foster

Some of these drafted players that are in the system hopefully start to come through for us next year. The two that I mentioned, Spaight and and a few more. We also have extra picks in this upcoming draft class. I like what SM is doing. Remember, the other way ( gasing up Redskins One, winning the off season) DID NOT work. Remember????

One of the reasons we're short on talent is cause of the RG3 trade. By my count that's 4 highly drafted players that are not here. Those guys should be starters for us, or contriburing. You don't swing and miss like that and don't feel it.

So despite all that we are still in the hunt. I'm happy where we're at, even though it's hard watching this defense. Help is on the way and I expect that will be via the draft, and maybe a free agent or two..
Solid post. Our d will take a big leap next year. The younger guys will have more experience, we'll pick up some low costs depth in FA, and I'm sure the BPA in the draft will magically be 80-90% defensive players (as it should be).

And Breeland will get his swagger back. He's too physically talented and has played well before. Just needs to get his mind right. If we have good Breeland back, that alone would make our defense way better.

I want to make the playoffs this year more so to keep building a streak from last year. Not gonna win the Super Bowl this year.

I know the Everett play was bad but look at it this way, if he doesn't smack Sproles, he is out there on that last drive and could have gotten them the game winning TD.....

Yeah you're right. Things could be a lot worse, I am thankful for the progress we've made this year and even though there is room for improvement we are still way better than we were for the longest time.

Exactly. Bottom line is that we are real close to being a one loss team rite now! Are you kidding me? There is not one team that would say, "ok we got the Skins this week - we should win this game". Not one. We are legit rite now because of that alone. Two years ago, and for many years prior, we were considered a gimme. We were a dumpster fire, and nobody was taking us seriously. On top of that our season would be well over in late October. We are in the midst of a two year period where we win more than we lose, and this year we never get blown out. Now people like to complain that we are never winning comfortably. Lol.

Wow good news on cravens...elbow flexor, week to week. Man the way they were taking yesterday it seemed like cravens would be out for awhile, possibly the year.

Wild Compton is also week to week...sounds like both avoided major injuries
