Re: Around the NFL (Preseason edition)

I say 8 game minimum for a first offense regarding domestic abuse, 2nd offense 16 games, 3rd offense indefinite suspension.

No , they know better.Kaepernick isn't all that good. The man tried to get some adverse attention thinking it would help him ,it didn't.If I own a team let someone else have the headache.....he isn't Tom Brady or Peyton Manning,he is not worth the bad press or heat from existing fan base.

Isn't all that good? Yes, I agree. Good enough to be a backup qb, better than some of the other garbage backups that have been signed/resigned? Yes.

I find it hard to believe that CK wouldn't be on a team right now if it weren't for the whole not standing for the anthem thing. He's definitely being blackballed IMO.

I def think coaches don't want to answer kap questions all season long and orgs don't want that type of distraction from a guy who is a backup qb/fringe starter in the league.

And you know who I blame for a lot of this. Not kap, not the police, not trump or obama, but the

Teams can't have a major distraction like manziel, kap or tebow qb. Can't fall into that "kap trap"

Of course he is!!!!!!!! NFL viewership went to hell over that, costing the league countless millions. ESPN took a major dive with giving the guy a major platform that pissed off the "deplorables" as well. Giantone pretty much nailed it! Colin used the BLM thing as a distraction that he was really playing poorly and tried to play upon sympathy for what he was doing. He miscalculated the people's response and got nailed. The NFL is a member of corporate America and will not stand one iota for its profits to plunge due to one person. ESPN is still reeling from trying to mix politics and sports. People watch sports as an escape from politics, and don't want that to be tainted by politics. The NFL has picked up on this, and won't let this happen again.

Re: Around the NFL (Preseason edition)

Saw that Tampa Bay cut their kicker who they drafted in the 2nd round of the 16 draft. What kind of idiot GM would draft a kicker in the 2nd round?

Kap also had the incident with his socks, basically a big F U to law enforcement. He has no one to blame but himself.

Blackballed, as in all 32 teams got together and colluded not to sign him? I don't think so, but if that's the case, only the Redskins and Cowboys will get in trouble for it.

I think 32 teams decided individually that he isn't good enough to be worth the media headache and flak from all the fans that don't want a QB who shits on their flag on the team. If he was better, he would be on a team. But he put himself in this position. I have no pity.

Do not forget the Fidel Castro shirt. That is why Miami did not sign him. They would offend 1/2 their fan base.
