Re: Around the NFL Week 1
So once again all through the preseason all you hear is "why do we have all these useless preseason games, they need to do away with these"...and after last nights game all the talking heads "offenses looked awful because they didn't play in preseason at all, they need to play preseason games!!"

Re: Around the NFL Week 1
Mike Pettine Def Coordinator and the Packer Defense was easily the most impressive thing about last night...
Remember, the Skins Front office chose Manusky over him.

Re: Around the NFL Week 1
Actually kinda liked yesterday's game (maybe because it's the first in a while), Bears' defense is amazing, Rodgers managed to pull one and a half drives when they needed, killer redzone INT to pretty much close the game... Like that type of game.
The one thing that really bothered me is the challenge of the pass interference rule... Sheehan was right they'll have to fix it because it'll get unwatchable. The time they spent after GB's challenge on that pass play was absurd IMO, it's football let 'em play. I think they should change it to Referee's initiated review only, both the coaches challenge and the booth initiated review are rythme killers. Let the zebras fix their own mistakes if they have a doubt, but the fact that people not calling the game are going to be able to put the game on hold every time they feel like there could have/shouldn't have been DPI/OPI on any given play is already a pain in the A.

Re: Around the NFL Week 1
Agree. I was impressed too. Curious how much of that was a good D and how was because Chicago's offense looked like a German shit show.

Also, Tarik Cohen is their gadget type player...they didn't let him leak too much into space. But this is how you beat the Bears: Total Team Rushing Stats: CARRIES: 15 YDS: 46 AVG 3.1 TD 0 LONG 8 yards Game over folks when you stop the run versus a team with a limited passer. Defense is easy when you do that.

The Bears offense and particularly Tribisky were atrocious last night. It was the first game of the year and I turned that high school shit off and went to bed.

Re: Around the NFL Week 1
So apparently AB called Mayock a "cracker" during the dust up. I wish the Raiders had some balls and would cut him. They'd be off the hook for all that money. If that was Belichick AB would be so gone. I doubt the Raiders have those kind of balls.

Re: Around the NFL Week 1
went to the movies instead last night - was as let down by IT Chapter 2 as i would have been watching the game. Only difference was it cost $33 to waste 3 hours at the theater and would have been free at home.

Re: Around the NFL Week 1
AB called the GM a cracker, if Mayock had called him a N omg heads would have rolled. The Raiders are a fawking joke, worst then is.
