Re: Washington Terrible Football Team - Post Game Thread
Still watching every snap but I see how much I've checked out because I don't even have a definite opinion about the game...
The D definitely played better, Allen and Smith Williams both had a solid game. This week Collins actually played very well too. Rookie St Juste continues to be quite steady IMO. Young made one nice play but take that away and he was our least impactful DL... The OL wasn't as awful as I expected after all the injuries considering the final 5 were Leno, Flowers, Larsen, Ismael, Charles... But still not enough to win against most of the league. Charles continues to be a disappointment, he got beat bad with lack of speed and proper hand technique on 2 huge sacks. Getting really hard to be a Heinicke fan... Cutting Hopkins without anything close to a decent replacement was a massive mistake. I didn't like the call to go for the first 4th down in the game, you're not playing the Chiefs or the Packers, but Bridgewater and the Broncos, take the points. I don't even really care what happens the rest of the season in term of results. I'd just like to not feel to bad about what I'm seeing on the field.

Don't worry - we'll find ourselves by week 14 when the Cowboys have clinched.

I'd actually like some acknowledgement that this team is a massive disappointment better than comments like that. To be fair I'm not listening to press confs anymore, trying to catch a couple of pods a week is all. So I don't know everything he's saying. But the few comments I read and hear from him are all about trying to build a narrative that something is being built, while we are actually regressing back to a burning pile of sticky shit. I really don't care what coaches say. Getting riled up over what a coach says in a press conference is useless. I want to see changes happen.

Re: Washington Terrible Football Team - Post Game Thread
It is all about drafting a QB. That is all that matters so lose every damn game. I don't care. We have no hope w/ the current cast of QB's.

Give me Willis , Corral or Pickett and lets see what they got.. The only other position I'd be fine with drafting in the top 10 is CB.

Idk if I believe in our staff on offense. Scott Turner is ok I guess but I prefer more under center plays for more effective play action. But I have always said this, judge Turner when we get a competent QB. Until then I just have no opinion on him one way or the other. |
