Re: Home Stadium Convo
I don't understand (I mean I do, but I don't) why some @$$hat from montana gets to decide if the DC football team can have a stadium in DC (when the team and DC government are interested).

Re: Home Stadium Convo
RFK STADIUM LEGISLATION PASSES SENATE AND HEADS TO THE PRESIDENT’S DESK.
The Senate just passed my bipartisan D.C. RFK Stadium Campus Revitalization Act. If Congress failed to pass my RFK stadium legislation, this decaying land in D.C. would continue to cost taxpayers a fortune to maintain. My RFK legislation PROHIBITS federal taxpayer funds from being used to develop any future stadium at the RFK site in D.C. The Congressional Budget Office analysis of my bill also indicates it has NO IMPACT on the federal deficit. This bipartisan success is a testament to the House Oversight Committee’s unwavering effort to protect taxpayers and our full commitment to ensuring a capital that is prosperous for residents and visitors for generations to come. Per James Comer It’s passed like it always should have, as a stand alone bill

Glad it didn't hold it up but it never should've come to this. Anything Congress touches gets weaponized though.

Re: Home Stadium Convo
The RFK site has excellent Metro access And it's clear that Harris and the ownership group wants to move back. I hope they get a deal done soon and start heading towards the new stadium and new name!

Re: Home Stadium Convo
Here's a question, while it will have its own design, which current stadium would you like the new one to look like? Domed or not? Personally I've always liked the Seahawks stadium. Be great to get something as intimidating going.

Re: Home Stadium Convo
Count me in the group that wants a dome also. I don't care what the haters say. I'm tired of games which diminishes the players' skills due to terrible weather and field conditions. A dome enhances quality of play and eliminates bs variables. I want a fast Commanders team that blows teams out in their dome stadium.

Re: Home Stadium Convo
I used to be hardcore outdoors only. Battling the elements, mud and blood, blah blah. But domed makes more sense from a utilization standpoint and, speaking personally, I’ve gotten too old to sit outside 3+ hours unless it’s over 55 degrees.

Re: Home Stadium Convo
I don't give a fuck about anything about the stadium other than where it's built.

Re: Home Stadium Convo
Just my Two cents....
I am Extremely Glad that the RFK Revitalization Bill FINALLY passed Congress! Whatever the new Washington NFL Team's stadium turns out to be....it should be at the RFK site, because of the history of the site, the proximity to DC and the Capital, and the proximity to Metro As for the type of stadium , personally I'd prefer a Retractable Roof stadium with a Retractable Grass Field (like the Arizona Cardinals stadium) That combo would give a grass field with the possibility of Open Air games in nice weather and the possibilities of other events being held at the stadium when the Washington NFL team is not playing. BTW....I was referring to Washington Commanders as the Washington NFL team in my above statement because the team may have a new name once they get a new stadium
