Re: A WIN IS A WIN POSTGAME THREAD
Felt like the first half we were rollin. Everything was good. Toward the end of the first half the offense started to falter, and just couldn't get back on track. I don't know the total sack count, but JD was sacked at least 7 times. NO had lots of pressure up front. Good gameplan once their defense started rolling. They pressured, and took away any semblance of a run game, making the O more 1 dimensional. To win as handily as we have gotten used to this year, Terry has to make those big play catches. But with our front being handled by their line, that was the game we were playing. If terry makes even 1 of those catches, everyone is singing praises of another big Washington W. But, he did not, so here we are talking like this.
Our OL is def priority next year, and 1 more weapon. I'd like to see them get Sinnot more involved, as I wont expect Ertz to be sticking around much longer. I'm of the ilk that I want to see players call it before they have scrambled eggs in their skull. He's been good for us this year, but it may be time to move on for him. Sinnot was a 2nd rounder, and will hopefully become a premier TE, but we have to start seeing what we have. St. Juste was bad again. I hope there is improvement, and getting him to play his nat position when Lattimore came on was, hopefully, going to get him back to what we hoped his form would be...but he didn't do well yesterday. Overall, like the title says, a w is a w.....but it didn't feel like a good w from the beginning of the 2nd half. Hopefully they play up to the eagles. Hurtz can be rattled, but saquon is a real issue.

Re: A WIN IS A WIN POSTGAME THREAD
Biadazz out at center hurt. He makes the line calls and holds his own. Definitely a drop off, even tho I don’t think dieter was terrible blocking

Re: A WIN IS A WIN POSTGAME THREAD
We were a couple of big plays away from this game not even being close. Not overly concerned. On to Philly.

Re: A WIN IS A WIN POSTGAME THREAD
Yes, 2 missed Tds to Terry and we would have had 34-19. So no need to freak out

Re: A WIN IS A WIN POSTGAME THREAD
That's the key. Picking up the rush correctly according to scheme, rather than relying on skill and strength alone, can make a big difference. 1/2 a second more to get a pass off. Opening a running lane for JD to take off. Sometimes the little things aren't so little.
It was illness, so hopefully he's 100% next week. We need him. |

Re: A WIN IS A WIN POSTGAME THREAD
A win is a win but yes there are some things to work on for sure. I feel like Terry and Jayden are just out of sync when it comes to deep passes. That's hard to fix for sure.
Also felt like the penalties (or lack thereof) were weak. One of those deep passes the cornerback never looked back and ran into Terry before the ball got there. Shoulda been easy DPI. Plus the time clock screwup at the end of the game. At least we won - if we lost that game because they converted the 2 pointer I woulda been hella pissed.

Ekeler was the perfect change of pace, the offense misses him

Re: A WIN IS A WIN POSTGAME THREAD
Could have been a colossal blunder, the refs admitted they botched it and it wasn't reviewable. They stopped it at 9 seconds. Unbelievable.

Re: A WIN IS A WIN POSTGAME THREAD
He is a great change of pace, but he doesnt have the homerun speed anymore, I do feel the offense gets way more dynamic if we can find our Jamyr Gibbs,
Whether thats an Ashton Jeanty or whomever

The whole world would have been livid because it looked like blatant cheating

Re: A WIN IS A WIN POSTGAME THREAD
Also Id like to point out that Lattimore was on 36 or 37 snaps and wasnt targeted once, once he gets up to speed having him is gonna be spectacular for the defense
