The Bears picked Ryan Leaf, we got Manning.
moreso Williams got Dan Snyder Washington, JD5 got Andy Reid KC

not saying JD5 wouldn't survive in Chicago but I don't think his year would have been as stellar

Re: Race to 2024 Playoffs

Is it me or does the NFL want to tank Thursday night football? I know scheduling isn't simple to modify, but surely they must have realised by week 4 this wasn't going to be a ratings winner. Why not flex the Cards v Rams to TNF or even Cowboys v Eagles, Packers v Vikings? Still enough meaningful games to play Saturday and Sunday. Snoozefest.

I don't like the games schedule this week, it's like a slow painful death for those people including myself who are in the championship game for FFLs.

Yes, he is pretty much their only playmaker offensively. It actually makes me feel a lot more confident about our final game. Lamb is a great receiver.

As I said before the last Dallas game,it doesnt matter who's playing for the cowboys, they have our number.Yes it helps that Lamb is out,but I'm not anymore confident of a win with him being out.
It would have been nice if Kurt was still the man in mylanta,I would have more confidence in a win.I did not see the highlights, but from the things I've read and heard the stat line doesnt show how well Penix played and how much better he looked than Kurt, mylanta could very well beat us also

No kidding re: Lattimore not being available. I hope this is a trade we don't regret. Hey, we are 8-5 without his services. Let's make it 9-5 on Sunday.

If the Panthers play in the same manner as they've been lately "bringing it," then I won't be surprised we're already in the playoffs by the time we kick off Sunday night.

Exactly!
Williams can make some incredible plays. He will be a star at some point but he might have to wait till free agency to find the best fit.

Don't want to see LAR as they can be scary as they are hot and cold.

Agreed. Stafford, Kyren Williams, Nucua and Kupp are no joke. They also have a recent ring bringing confidence. Playoffs are going to be awesome.

Re: Race to 2024 Playoffs

I don't get the "I don't want to see [ insert team name here ] concept". It's the playoffs, all the teams are quality, and as the 6 or 7 seed they are all going to be seeded above us. I want us to play the toughest ones, and if we lose AP and DQ gain a clearer picture of what they need to do for next season. (When our schedule, by all appearances, will be filled with these type teams.)

Race to 2024 Playoffs

Phil Mathis just waived. Guess not needed for our playoff push. Another failed RR pick. Man, AP doesn’t fool around.

Means Jon Allen is back and ready to go.

Excited about Allen coming back. No doubt he makes our dline better. Yes, AP is decisive and active. 2 perfect traits for a GM. We need to pressure Penix tomorrow night bigtime. Kid has a huge arm but is not much of a running threat.

Agree with all of this. More concerned with stopping Bijan Robinson if we are playing in the slop. Allen helps with that.

It’s hard to believe we could end this season with 11 or even 12 wins. I mean, I have been a fan since 1974 and we used to expect that. But years of Snyder-induced misery reset expectations.

Happy that we seem to be re-establishing the standard.
