Bills at 5? Cardinals? Bengals? Ravens? Although I have been buying into the hype that is the Ravens, common. Boller has alot to show. Its preseason, I still dont care. Do I think we should be a little hihger, yes. But who really cares. I'm just ready to prove the world wrong.

Power rankings have never been kind to us. It still seems like everyone thinks our defense has suddenly fallen from the ranks of the elite. Saying it "should remain tough to penetrate" is an understatement.

You can also throw in the steelers. Our D's are almost mirror images of each other. We could also have a better running game this year and I dont know how much better big ben is than ramsey. He only averaged 180 some pass yds per game last yr and if their running game doesnt stay as good as it was, roethlisberger's weaknesses will show.

I don't know about that one... They'll get to the playoffs I'll give u that. I think patriots will fall heavy from the football heaven and back into reality, they just lost to many key people. The skins to me even as a fan are an enigma cause this season trully depends on the success of Patrick and how he performs. The defense will hold teams to low scores he just has to be smart with the ball and not throw pick ala steelers last year. rely on the running game

I dont understand why a few of you have such a problem with the Cards @ 15

A few questions...outside the Raiders, who has a better trio of WR's than the Cards?

Warner, if healthy, will benefit greatly from the Cards WR's...as will rookie JJ Arrington who should have a lot of space to run through

Bertrand Berry had 14 sacks last year..the Cards also acquired Chike Okeafor who's had 16.5 sacks the last 2 years along with Darnell Dockett who reminds me of a young LaRoi Glover

A pass rush hides alot of deficiencies

They have Rolle and Tate @ CB-- guys who will get beat from time to time but will also make plays....Adrian Wilson @ S along with a young, fast group @ LB

The Cards will have a better record than the Jints, Cowboys and Redskins and will make it to at least the divisional round of the playoffs and quite possibly to the NFC Championship game @ Philly

I disagree. I dont know why everyone is so in love with Kurt Warner (not you specifically). I just feel like he hasent done anything substantial in so long; and while I think the guy was a great story a while back, he's just not good anymore.

JJ Arrington is someone who I think can find a good spot in the league, but he's a rookie; and he is not running behind a very good offensive line. Even with those recivers last season, they were only ranked a couple spots higher than we were offensivley. They are just in the middle of the league defensivley. In addition, they were the only team the freaking 49ers beat last year. I know this is a parody league, but I just dont think the addition of Warner and a few rookies are going to make a difference overnight. Thats not to say I think they will be a bad team, because if any team sleeps on them, it will mean trouble. But I dont think this team is anywhere near NFC Championship Material.

Re: And It Begins - The Ever Popular....Power Rankings

The Cards have just as many question marks as anyone else right now, yet they are everyone's 'sexy' preseason pick.

I'm sorry but I just can't get hyped up over a Kurt Warner led team. Unless they have the great wall of china in front of him, he's going to turn the ball over, a lot.

They have some nice WRs, I'll definitely give them that.

I like Denny Green, but I just don't see them better than 17 other teams in this league right now.

They're all hype right now.

It's actually a "parity league". Although, come to think of it, you may be right...

A rebound would almost assuredly put us in the playoffs. Again what a moron

Even a blind squirell finds a nut now and then and apparently this moron can read and has found out the the Skins have what we can euphamistically call a 'QB Issue'. He gets no points for regurgitating a known issue.
To be honest with you... Gibbs' year was a disaster, with the exception of hiring a great defensive coordinator. The offense, under his watch, was horrible.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Redskins were still a year away from the playoffs. They're definitely not a lock.

Regardless of what the squirrel read, the Redskins do have a QB issue if Gibbs isn't confident in Ramsey... and it's pretty evident he isn't.

If I had to rank the Redskins myself this year... I don't think they'd break the top 20. You might disagree with the order of some of the teams ahead of them... the Vikes a little low... the Cards a little high... but this is not a fact-based ranking. It can't make everyone happy. If you want happy, make your own list.

Well, last season, Boldin was injured and didnt play until game 7...and even when he return, he didnt show the form he did in '03 when he may have been the best rookie ever

And how many QB's didnt the Cards last season? And who were are they?

McCown.. Shaun King...Navarre..does it get any worse?

Im far from a Warner homer, but his last 4 seasons he's played in a pass happy rams offense and got murdered while there. He suffered a thumb injury that kept him inconsistent for the better part of 2 years.

He played behind a lousy Giants OL and was 5-2 and playing fairly well--the Giants the lost 2 games in a row. Couglin and the Giants, feeling the pressure of getting the #1 pick in the draft and expediting his development, inserted Manning into the line up and went into the tank.

I understand the Cards OL is among the elitle, but the Cards (Im sure) can max protect..And with Fitzgerald and Boldin, a top 3 WR tandem in the league, still will get open

The Cards new OC has really stressed getting the ball our quickly.

Another note...what did last years final 4 (Atlanta, Pittsburgh, Philly, NE) have in common?...

QB pressure.

Add Okeafor, a full year of experience and an offseason for Dockett, and of course Berry along with Rolle and Tate..

Im on their bandwagon

Re: And It Begins - The Ever Popular....Power Rankings

cards have an okay RB, but not really great and no Oline to help them... warner has trouble when he has to make plays with his feet and while the WRs are good, i say at least the raiders, lions and packers, and possibly the panthers or vikings...

I still like the Cardinals to compete in that weak division, but I still dont think they are that great.

They aren't....yet. But, they've got a solid, young foundation of players to build upon. Guys like J.J. Arrington, Larry Fitzgerald, Anquan Boldin, Karlos Dansby, Bertrand Berry, Darnell Dockett, Antrelle Rolle, and Adrian Wilson make me think this franchise could go very far.
