Re: Where is the negativity???

The GM thing isn't up to Snyder right now. If Gibbs wanted one, I find it awfully hard to believe Snyder wouldn't bring someone in. It's Gibbs' call to make, and he is comfortable with the current setup.

That is the big difference between you and several fans who only show up to dump on the team and nothing more. I have respect for the fans who feel that if they don't have anything good to say about the team, then they just keep their mouths shut. I also have respect for those fans who always look on the bright side of everything so as to keep our spirits up high when we go through a rough spell. Lastly, I have respect for those fans who try to keep it real by realizing that there are both positive and negative things about this team.

I don't have respect for fans who only come here when we lose, and won't even try to have an open mind in looking at the big picture. They would rather argue with you and say you know nothing about football, which does nothing for moral. I believe that is one reason why we have a forum here. To not only support this team, but to lift each other up and keep us Skins fans united. That doesn't mean we have to agree with each other on everything, but I can't honestly find the logic in wanting to supporting a team in which only brings out negativity in myself; unless of course I took some kind of weird pleasure in being negative all the time.

Re: Where is the negativity???

You Want Negativity, our runner can't score TD's, Brunell's arm is going, our kicker has leg problems, our D's pass rush is no rush, the coach is in the ice age, we sign average players to block buster deals, we let go of Coles and 50/50, our owner sucks, did I forget somthing that people complain about when we lose. LOL Oh, the skies falling and the Indians won their court case and we have to change our name. I thought I'd throw in some new ones.

Re: Where is the negativity???

I am a big supporter of the Redskins chances to make the playoffs. My Boys are fading faster than a Drew Carey punchline and the Giants can't win on the road. This division that looked to put three teams into the post season, might be lucky if it puts more than one in.

We play KC. You get Arizona. I can't cry too much as we get arizona every year and you already played KC.

Would be nice to get that extra home game like the Giants!!

Don't forget about us needing a GM, and an offensive coordinator.

I'll do better next time. I'm just allways amazed at how negative people can realy be and wonder how they make it in life. I know everything is not perfect in Redskins Nation but why always dwell on the negatives. I too which we were sitting at 12 and 0 like the Colts but one thing about the Skins this year the games are never boring.

I totally agree with you firstdown. We're just blind optimists.

The only problem I have with the total optimists is that my life experience is that the squeaky wheel gets the oil. By that I mean, if Redskin fans would raise hell about Snyder's methods, maybe just maybe he would eventually have to listen. Snyder cares about public opinion, and he cares about the fans. If no one ever questions or bitches about moves made by this team, then that pretty much turns us all into Kool-Aid drinking fans who never question our team's moves. Id rather stop being a fan than to follow blindly, never questioning authority. Its easy to come on here and say "never question Joe Gibbs", but do those of you who are total optimists ever come to this site and say "yep, in hindsight, Gibbs was totally wrong" . If you are going to complain about the bitching and moaning on this board, don't you have to fess up when the bitching and moaning is legit?

Re: Where is the negativity???

what more can a skins fan want out of owner?so far,in his brief time as redskins owner,mr snyder has pretty much tried everything(other than the draft)to make the redskins a winner.there isnt a redskin fan out here that can say he isnt willing to spend what it takes.we went thru that, now we are going old school by trying to keep a certain nucleus of "core players" and filling in where needed.i think his judgement in the past may have been alittle off,but i think what he wants in the end for the skins is what we all want, another super bowl trophy

Up until last year, Snyder did nothing but attempt to buy championships, and in that time, he hasn't even been able to buy a winning record. If he continues to keep his mouth shut, and let the coaches do their job, I'll be a little more accepting of him.

Re: Where is the negativity???

southpaw would you will be more accepting of snyder if he spent nothing, sitting quietly along the sidelines, making his millions, and watch out team turn into the arizona cardinals?he tried a veteran coach(schottenheimer) a college coach(spurrier) old school(gibbs)there isnt a redskin fan out there that wasnt happy with all the big name, high priced talent he brought in to help the skins try to win.say whay you want, that formula was mildly sucessful(playoffs 1999)i do think we are going the right way this time
