I wouldn’t call depth homeruns. I wouldn’t even call starters homeruns because they might just be starting by default. If FA was better maybe they aren’t starting. And how do we know a guy is a ten year starter in year 3? Lol. That list is a little fugazi. |

Re: Commanders 2023 Off-Season Thread
Harris was officially hired by the Titans on Tuesday, just weeks after NBC Sports Washington reported he'd either be heading to Tennessee as the club's defensive pass game coordinator/cornerbacks coach or to Chicago as the Bears' defensive coordinator.
https://www.nbcsports.com/washington...h-chris-harris Still dont understand how/why RR let this happen .. and no media is touching on whether we could have blocked this. Its a lateral move .. or does the NFL allow it not to be bc teams create these "assistant head coach" type labels that mean nothing Was his contract up? Does RR have an internal policy with his guys that he would never block them if they wanted to interview? Jags just blocked the Ravens from interviewing their OC. -------------------- I just need a fucking simple explanation and the DC media isnt covering whether we could have blocked or not.

Re: Commanders 2023 Off-Season Thread
^ Sounds like his title as a pass game coordinator is a step up from DB coach, so RR can't block it.
And maybe he wanted to leave, no sense in blocking someone who wants to move on. |

Re: Commanders 2023 Off-Season Thread
The title sounds a bit better (even if it's the same responsibilities) and I'm sure the salary is at least $1.00 higher, so I'm assuming they can't block it.

Re: Commanders 2023 Off-Season Thread
Coordinator is a step above coach no matter how you look at it.
We could have just given him a raise and a fancier title, but again I'm guessing he wanted to move on. Can't blame him given the lame duck situation here with RR. |

Re: Commanders 2023 Off-Season Thread
Just listened to Rivera speak on PFT Live and he was pretty adamant that they are going into this offseason with Sam Howell as the starter and finding another QB to "compete" is the word he used. Again, this may be all he's allowed to say right now, especially with the HOPEFULLY SOON sell of the team, but I found it interesting that he was so adamant about Howell. I kinda hoped Chris Simms or Florio would ask him how/why they are so sure that Howell is "the guy" but they didn't.

Re: Commanders 2023 Off-Season Thread
Heard him say Howell is "more than likely" QB1 which to me means he's our guy if we can't find someone else.
Gotta think in this draft trading up is a very real possibility. |

BY would cost the farm Stroud and Levis are projected top 10 so maybe one of them.. I'd just stick with SH and sign a FA like Jimmy G.

Re: Commanders 2023 Off-Season Thread
Ron said "He could be"
People need to realize Ron just makes shit up to the media. Howell has a shot to compete but its way too early to say he's QB1

Re: Commanders 2023 Off-Season Thread
Chiefs’ OC Eric Bieniemy remains a prime candidate for the offensive coordinator jobs with the Washington Commanders and Baltimore Ravens, per sources.
