Let's wait till the end of the weekend till we say that. Other than losing Chris Samuels which is no surprise, we have only cut Randy Thomas. He hasn't really played a full season in years.

He got old quick ot going definately not going to be the next Ray Brown.

He has injury problems just like Corny but he is definitely built for the role better than Griffin.

Jay Glazer reports: 1) Delhomme is OUT in Carolina (that's $19MM for one season, for those with me on the contract watch), and 2) Cromartie to the Jets is a nearly done deal for a 2011 pick, either a 2nd or 3rd.

Doubt it. Cromartie will be only as good as the pass rush and his ability to stay disciplined. That said, he probably can't be worse than Sheppard in Ryan's view.

They had a legitimate shot as Asomugha. This move doesn't really change the Jets defensive projection any, as quarterbacks will just avoid Revis and pick on Cromartie all the time.

I think I'd have to give the Jets the benefit of the doubt on that being an upgrade, but I don't personally see it. Cromartie's a lot younger, perhaps there is a development factor here.
