Re: Redskins Patriots game thread.
Yup, he was invisible doing a good job returning kicks, and getting a catch or two. Come on, we have to come up with some negatives or this is not a Redskins fan baord. LOL.

Re: Redskins Patriots game thread.
That was the best I have ever seen him play. I was very encouraged by #11 tonight and I have to admit i'm not a fan of his.

Re: Redskins Patriots game thread.
I'm really happy with our 1st and 2nd team play. There were a lot of big plays on the first team, and we really missed out on them last year.
My only issue is that we ended the game with time outs. I know that we don't want to extend a pre-season game and risk getting players hurt, but we could have got the ball back with 45 seconds left. That would have gave Colt the experience of the hurry-up. It says a lot for our teams class though. Billa-shit would have not done things the same way. I think our special teams played better, but we still have a way to go.

Re: Redskins Patriots game thread.
3 catches 36 yards, I thought he ran some nice routes and looked like he "knew what he was doing".
Huge improvement over anything we saw from him last year, are ya kidding me? |

Re: Redskins Patriots game thread.
I've been a Devin fan but the last two weeks made me seriously worried because he was botching such basic stuff.
Tonight he was not a world-beater. But he did look good on kickoff returns and he contributed a couple of good catches. We still need to see more from him but he was not "invisible."

Re: Redskins Patriots game thread.
I hope Portis is ok. Btw, he WAS invisible. I hope he doesn't play next game and rests up...let's not get him hurt.
I like that Mason got some reps against the Pats 1st team defense. Much better than last year. Anybody know Betts stats? I think he didn't play much or didn't play that great...well the Pats D had our number apparently.

Agreed, x16games and thats an enormous improvement over last year. Although Rock is steady at KR, DT looked like he might be able to break one.

Re: Redskins Patriots game thread.
As for Brady/Moss playing us with ease, well we didn't have Rogers out there tonight so hopefully his return will make that difference that we need. Other than the first team defense getting pushed around (but honestly that's nitpicking because we didn't have our #1 corner against the league's best QB/WR combo) I liked what I saw. Campbell and the offense played strong which was my biggest concern. I'm not too concerned with the Brennan/Daniel 3rd qb battle because I hope neither of them will see the field this year, but if I had to say I'd probably say that it's a tossup, I haven't seen enough of Daniel and Brennan ain't done much besides comeback from that pick-6 to throw a nice td to Marko Mitchell.

Re: Redskins Patriots game thread.
Even with a 3 point loss I felt pretty good about this outing. All of the recievers made some plays and the running game was solid. Suisham shanked a 50 yarder as expected. I feel that if the starters would have played the whole game that we would have lost by at least 7. Considering the competition that we were up against, its not that bad. As far as Portis is concerned, he will be there in the regular season so there is nothing to worry about. If we play like this all year we could win at least 10. Here is to hoping.
