Re: Coaching Staff update
Looks like we may have found our WR Coach or maybe this guy will work with Mann (they worked together w/ the Bucs)...
Adam Shefter just tweeted: Redskins have retained Steve Jackson as Safeties Coach and named Sean McVay Offensive Assistant. From Wikipedia: Sean McVay (born January 24, 1986) is an American football coach. He is currently the wide receivers/quality control coach for the Florida Tuskers of the United Football League. Happy Birthday Sean! |

Re: Coaching Staff update
Sean McVay
Quality Control/Wide Receivers Coach, Florida Tuskers Sean McVay joins the Florida Tuskers as Quality Control/Wide Receivers Coach. McVay spent the 2008 season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as an Offensive Assistant. While in Tampa Bay, he worked closely with all members of the offensive coaching staff in the preparation and implementation of the offensive game plan. McVay was also instrumental in helping guide WR Antonio Bryant to 83 receptions for 1,248 yards and seven touchdowns, culminating in Bryant's The Sporting News Comeback Player of the Year Award. McVay played college football at Miami (OH) University from 2004-07 where he was a starting kick returner and wide receiver. In 2007, he received Miami's Scholar-Athlete Award. In his senior year at Marist High School in Atlanta, Ga., McVay led his team to a state championship as quarterback while earning Georgia 4A Offensive Player of the Year honors. |

Re: Coaching Staff update
Between Gano, Haslett, and McVay, we are becoming quite the UFL pipeline.

Re: Coaching Staff update
I'm glad to see that the Redskins finally hired an offensive line coach. Maybe he can talk to Shanahan about the draft and have some influence there.

Re: Coaching Staff update
Is it just me or is anyone else not completely sold on the Chris Foerster acquisition (OL coach). From a rushing standpoint he was mediocre in Baltimore and downright bad in San Fran. I don't know where the "highly regarded for his work with the 49ers" on DC Pro Sports is coming from...I don't like this signing at all.
2005: 42 sacks allowed 2006: 19 sacks allowed 2007: 39 sacks allowed 2008: 55 sacks allowed 2009: 40 sacks allowed Now admittedly he didn't have the best quarterbacks (J.T. O Sullivan, Kyle Boller) but don't you guys think Shanahan could have brought in someone a little better?

Jamal: I was wondering if I could bring you more of my stuff. Or maybe I could write something else.
Forrester: How about 5,000 words on why you should stay the fuck out of my house!

Re: Coaching Staff update
The Redskins show their intentions with the hiring of coach McVay, they plan to blow this team up.
![]() I just couldn't resist. I've been thinking this since I saw that he was hired. LOL. |
