He's not going anywhere, too valuable as a returner.

I could see him end up on the bubble as he is a one trick pony. It appears Paul was a good return guy at Nebraska, and Austin was a return guy in UCLA. Royster returned punts at Penn State.

Depends on what they decide to do with the newbies. Maybe the Hurricane with the better hands will handle those duties.

Kiper and McShay BOTH like Royster. Great pass receiver out of the backfield, straight-line runner/ no dancing around.

I like Royster, too. I like our new backfield. I think Helu and Royster will make a complementary team, especially with Torain.

Well if were lucky in the 7th round there are still RB's and WR's available to pick from.

LOL. McShay and Mort are talkign about Beck on ESPN now. They saying they liked Beck better than any of the QB's in this draft. I think we could still get McElroy if he is available in the 7th round.

Makes sense. Beck was accurate, good intangibles, just needed time to develop. He's young in the senese that he won't be dead for another 40 or 50 years.

Dirt, I like McElroy, but how could the kid fall so badly in a rather average QB class? I mean the kid from Nevada got drafted before him, and Nevada is runs the Pistol.

Well the Nevada kid was in the same ballpark as Newton in terms of physical tools. A good comparison for McElroy might be Fitzpatrick. Both were smart, productive QB's that were overlooked on draft day.

I think we're seeing Shanahan's philosophy here: load up on the skill positions at running back and wide receiver late in the draft, hoping one of them turns out to be lightning in a bottle.

For everyone drooling for a center, Ryan Bartholomew from Syracuse is still hanging around on Kiper's "Best Available" list.
