Louis Nix, Timmy Jernigan, or Cyrus Kouandjio. Oh my, I just pitched a tent!

Re: 34th Overall Pick
Louis Nix looks like a clone of Vince Wilfork. At least in the face.

Re: 34th Overall Pick
If Houston takes Su'a-Filo, we need to trade back several spots, likely with a team who wants a QB. We could trade back, get another pick in the 3rd(laugh at me if that's outrageous; what do you think we could get for a trade back?), and still have one of those top rated players available.
Su'a-Filo is an excellent OG, and he's got a nasty streak on the field. He would likely be our best interior lineman by the end of the year. |

Re: 34th Overall Pick
i definitely would be ok with one trade down, maybe with Tampa Bay. I wouldn't want to go much further down.

Re: 34th Overall Pick
Or move up a few spots from early 3rd round to late second?

Re: 34th Overall Pick
i say get bitonio with 34, trade up into the mid - late second from the third, and try to grab the best lb or corner available, whichever is rated higher on their boards, snag him. Hopefully scrape two starters from a ho hum draft.

Re: 34th Overall Pick
Or you could take OG Su'a-Filo. According to our FO, most of the OL problems last year were because of poor interior blocking. And this dude's a sure-fire stud; if we pass him up for one of the RTs, who have a much bigger chance of busting, I'm going to be livid. Unless, of course, that RT turns out to be a stud.
On the trade down note, maybe the QB needy teams aren't the only ones looking to move up. Trent Baalke: Still time for 49ers to grab a receiver - NFL.com |

Re: 34th Overall Pick
Again with the chart as a reference, giving up our 6th round pick would move our 3rd round pick up to around the 28-30th pick of the 2nd, and I do think those 6 spots might be worth it. although if I remember right there is a quirk in the CBA that actually makes 3rd round draft pick contracts more team friendly and that might gain us a spot or two if some team doesn't feel the need to get an immediate guy there.

Re: 34th Overall Pick
theres just so many explosive edge rushers in the league, i wouldnt blame them for taking tackle. I would rather try Luavo inside, maybe. Just take the best one gruden.

Re: 34th Overall Pick
Luvao does play inside. He's our new Left Guard. Did you mean Palombus?

Re: 34th Overall Pick
Yeah can't see that going well. Part of his problem has always been playing too high. That would be a bigger problem inside.
