A Jason Campbell led offense was able to put 26 points against a Dallas defense run by Brian Stewart. Ever since Wade took over? Scoring touchdowns have become a difficult chore against them.

San Diego was a utter crap on D in the year before Wade went there. By the time he left? Top 10 in 2006 and steady improvements in the years prior.

Compare that to the regression Pittsburgh had when Haslett took over for Lebeau.

And even if I like trashing them, I can see competence when I see it. Wade is good at D-coord just like Sid the Bitch is an elite center.

He does not want to take the chance of VJ holding out all season as his agents appear to be very serious about this.

He knows he just can't get the compensation for what he wants and the Moss deal will be what helps him make this decision imo..

I do believe him, when he says that he wants more from AFC teams in compensation than what he would take from an NFC team.

But here's the kicker...he's gonna want to screw VJ as much as possible I believe...So he will trade VJ to a team that has a week 6 BYE (trade deadline) or beyond.

This narrows the teams that get VJ to this list imo (NFC Teams)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Week 6 bye=Cardinals,Panthers
Week 7 bye=Lions
Week 8 bye=Falcons,Bears,Giants,Eagles
Week 9 bye=Niners,Rams,Redskins
Week 10 bye=Packers,Saints

This would give VJ,one less game even beyond his suspension which will justify A.J. giving in and blinking...imo

Now the only teams I can see possibly getting VJ,would be the Rams,Panthers and Redskins of that list above.

Rams=Bradford has played well with what he has,but with their injuries..VJ could help big time, not to mention that they are in the hunt at 2-2 to win the division!
Panthers=similar situation as Rams with Smith going down and Clausen getting the start now but this would be a move for their future, as they probably feel they aren't winning it this season.
Redskins=Outside of a few plays here and there from Armstrong and Moss,Shanny will want to give McNabb some help that the Eagles never did in his tenure there. Plus, this will be important with Portis out and Shanny going with a running game, even he's not sure about. (I see Roydell as the odd man out, giving us VJ,Moss,Armstrong,Galloway,Thomas and Banks) Could also be Devin Thomas with all we are hearing,so who knows here?

But this is the tricky part...we don't have the 2011 picks that A.J. and the chargers want...The Redskins do not have a 3rd or 4th rounder in the 2011 draft. (Mcnabb and Brown trade)

..and we aren't giving them the 2nd that A.J. wanted or the deal would have been done by now. (we even already have a contract set up for the guy at 4 yrs/44 Million)

So I see the Redskins giving them our 5th rounder. (the one we swapped up/down to get Carriker for a steal) in the 2011 draft and our 2012 3rd rounder.

This is better compensation than the Moss deal(and Holmes) and what the chargers would get in compensation in the compensatory pick.(Which would be a very low 3rd rounder after everyone has picked in that round) btw..his agents said he would sign a cap 1st year friendly deal as a free agent to screw the chargers out of their 3rd round compensatory pick as well...which helps in us trading for him too.

So there you have it!
I expect a deal to go down sometime next week after the Green Bay game, that has to made before the Colts game as the trade deadline hits. But who knows? That A.J. seems to be a stubborn fool..lol

Lets hope A.J. blinks!
WOW
Keep Drinking my man ITS NOT HAPPENING

Re: V. Jackson "Prepared to Sit out season"

"The Patriots have explored the possibility of trading for Jackson, reports Comcast Sportsnet.
Spin: Earlier reports indicated long odds on this potential trade, citing Jackson's contract status and off-field issues as reasons for the poor fit. While those concerns are still valid, this latest report suggests offensive lineman Logan Mankins could be the trade bait that gives this rumor new legs. Mankins, like Jackson, is holding out after electing to not sign his tender offer this past offseason. A deal is far from imminent and still unlikely, but with the Patriots' new perceived hole at wide receiver, the rumor probably won't die until Jackson's actual future is known." from Rotowire

I just can't see the chargers/AJ trading their prime WR to the patriots and having it come back to bite them.

Not to mention they would be trading one problem for another as both Mankins and VJ want to get paid and have new contracts and both franchises are cheap.

Plus, although the Patriots have the picks to make the deal, the chargers are going to want WAY more for VJ,than the Patriots will be willing to make.

Like Mankins plus picks...
This deal isn't happening imo..

VJ will go to an NFC team,if he's dealt at all...
I'm staying with the Rams,Panthers or Redskins as my top 3 possibilites.

The Chargers could get a 2Nd and a 3rd for VJ, Why would they take a 3-5? I wouldn't mind lol But AJ is no Fool

Re: V. Jackson "Prepared to Sit out season"

Ya'll can keep this in mind about Wade...

I've always felt he is an awsome DC but a horrible HC. It seems like everytime he gets a DC job he does well and looks good, ie; Buffalo, Falcons, Chargers, but when he gets the HCing job because of his awsome work he bombs or the team gets worse, ie;
Buffalo, Falcons, Dallas and so on.

I'd take Phillips as a DC, but never as a HC. Never.

The topic came up and people started debating Phillips. Definitly wrong thread to do it in but the debate came up. I simply voiced my opinion also.

Re: V. Jackson "Prepared to Sit out season"

I just heard VIA Facebook that Georgia is trading A.J Green to Washington for Rex Grossman, Yea I know it's never been done in Football history and Is against any rule ever made, but trust me FB is a legit source for football news.

Re: V. Jackson "Prepared to Sit out season"

Why would we want to give up any more picks for a wide rec. who has off the field issues and wants a ton of money. Haven't we learned our lesson from the past of doing business like this. We can find a WR in next seasons draft with a late or undrafted free agent. Remember we still have Kelly on IR. Lets be patient and build through the draft.

I get the feeling him and probably DT will be shipping out after this season. Thomas can't run routes and Kelly can't stay healthy, although we drafted him knowing he had an injury history. We'll probably be cutting our losses in the off season.

When it comes to WR's we have gotten burned doing business both ways. Recently Thomas and Kelly through "building through the draft" as you put it and in the past Lloyd, ARE, Patton and so on.

You mention throwing draft picks away on a WR who has proven himself to be able to play in the NFL as being crazy but you'd rather take your 50/50 chance on a draft pick? Honestly the second scenario sound crazy.

I'm all about building through the draft like the Patriots did yrs ago, and having a healthy young team, but the team needs it's vets also in order to pass on skills. How much longer will Galloway and Moss be here? I also don't want to waist another draft pick on a player who can't make the jump like Thomas and Kelly.

The good news is I think this coaching staff is better at evaluating talent and determining if it will work in the scheme of things vs. past coaching staffs so if picking a WR up in the draft is the solution then I'll accept it, if picking up VJ is their answer I'll accept that as well. But I think we all can agree on a couple of things... Thomas and Kelly are not getting it done
and we need a WR.
