Re: 2015 Redskins Coaches/Coordinators News
I'm pretty sure you're aware their whole secondary is referred to as the LoB. If it was one guy I could understand it being weird, but it's a group of guys, and if they can continue being great for the next 5-10 years or so, it would be reasonable to think that nickname will go down with all the other great nicknames in NFL history, i.e. Hogs, Fun Bunch, Steel Curtain, Purple People Eaters, etc.

I agree the secondary is really good. Kam Chancellor is a beast. In today's NFL, with free agency and the salary caps it's hard for me to believe they will be together in 2 - 4 years. They are going to have to pay Willson and Russell Okung. Its going to be hard to pay Sherman, Thomas, and Chancellor 31 million a season and take care of Wilson and Okung. What do you do with Marshawn Lynch? Do you let him walk or pay him top RB money? |

I dunno, Legion of Boom is a pretty cool nickname IMO. Another SB win and they definitely cement themselves as legendary.

Re: 2015 Redskins Coaches/Coordinators News
If they win this super bowl (and play well), probably will go down as the best secondary ever.
Beat Brees last year and made Jimmy Graham look afraid. Shut down Manning and the deepest receiving core I have ever seen. Beat Rodgers and made him look pretty mediocre if not just plain bad. And now they are playing Brady. Probably the four best quarterbacks of the past 5 years. It is amazing to me how bad they have made three of those QB's look and now they are given another chance vs. Brady. |

And besides the salary cap will most likely keep rising, so if the Seahawks are smart they'll recognize the key guys who deserve to be paid. If the guys in the LoB are smart they'll recognize they have an opportunity to stick together and be recognized as one of the greatest secondaries ever, and if not hopefully they'll be dismantled. I'll finish by saying I'm no fan of the 'Hawks, and I will be rooting for NE tomorrow, but I still have to recognize the team they have assembled. Without that secondary or Marshawn Lynch does anybody think they would be going back to the SB? Lynch held it together against GB until Wilson got his shit together, and that secondary is probably the greatest we've seen in years. |

Re: 2015 Redskins Coaches/Coordinators News
LOL, great catch.
@Omaha: I wouldn't say Wilson is a shoo-in if he wins tomorrow. I'll wait and see what happens when Wilson has to carry the offense once Lynch leaves. What if Wilson experienced RG3 type regression and flames out in Seattle? It's too early to tell, but he will have a great start if the Hawks win tomorrow. I will say if Wilson gets back to back SB wins, he could have an above average career from here on out and probably get in. |
