Re: Who is Kirk Cousins?
This was straight up a great team win. Everyone did their job and the mistakes were minimal which isn't something we as Skins fans are accustomed to. When this team is on, it's fun to watch, the catch is it's primarily been against low caliber teams. With that being said I am solidly confident the team could surprise some people and take down the Panthers next week and then have the team in firm control of their own destiny with a majority of the games remaining being against the division. The next 7 weeks will could go really well for us if the right team takes the field.

Re: Who is Kirk Cousins?
Bad defense of not. The NFL doesn't hand out perfect passing ratings like candy. They are earned through great play.
Not to mention Kirk Cousins. The current QB of the Washington Redskins is the only QB this year to post a perfect passing rating with a minimum of 20 attempts. So, wether he meets the standards of some of the critics on here or not. He's been impressive this year at times. Oh, and for the "consistency " crowd.... Cousins last 3 games: 109 QB Rating 800+ yards 9 Touchdowns 1 INT (dropped pass) The whole.. He needs to win on the road argument is kinda crap since the winning part involves more then just Kirks performance. It starts with Gruden, and goes down to the other 53 players. Not just the one guy who has been playing solid this year.

Re: Who is Kirk Cousins?
If kirk pulls out a win this week it'll be huge for his future here.

Re: Who is Kirk Cousins?
I admit that I am a Kirk skeptic. He has made huge strides in winning me over with his last three games. If he plays well - accurate throws, no his-fault INT's - at Carolina, I will be much more positive in my outlook. If he throws out a clunker, it will be a confirmation that he is still inconsistent.
It's like having a 70% at midterms, you need to pretty much do "A" quality work from there on out to end up with a B. Cousins has three years of C work (or worse). So far this year, in total, he has been inconsistent and, at times, horrible. I believe he is our best option this year and next. We should resign him - or extend him - soon. For me to believe he has actually changed his inconsistent ways for good, he really needs to play well (not great, not perfectly, not mistake free - just well) the rest of the way out. Unlike other established QB's, and in my opinion, he has not won the luxury of a "benefit of the doubt" game. His last three games were A and A+ work. It would be great if he could continue it or even maintain a quality "B." He has seven more games - here's hoping he has truly, truly turned the corner.

Home: Rams (4-5), Eagles (4-5), Bucs (4-5), Saints (4-6) Then it is also FACT that the teams we played on the road all have winning records, and at home do not. Our road record is bad in part because the road games were harder than the home games. Look, if you don't like Kirk, you don't like Kirk. Only time will tell if he's going to be legit, but the reality is he's played well the last 3 games, and 4 out of the past 5. |

Cousins only win on the road was Cleveland in 2012. lets pump our brakes and nobody is saying cousins isn't the future. The main reason he is we have zero better options. FA and draft looks bleak with QB. Im for Cousins as the starter next year, but lets chill out a little bit. |

Re: Who is Kirk Cousins?
I think you're cherry picking stats just like the fictional "3rd quarter" problem the media harped on before. There is nothing magical about road games. It's different, for sure, but I don't buy the premise that he falls apart on the road. We almost won the Falcons game minus the Grant slip-up.
