re: Let's talk
Wife went to a friend's house the other night and bought a 6er of Uinta Sum'r Summer Ale to have. She brought a few home and I had one. Quite tasty, very drinkable on a hot day. In fact, I may wander back to the fridge and see if there is another one...

re: Let's talk
So Six Point Brewery brewed a special beer for the Phish shows in NYC this past weekend. Vlad the Impale-ale-er. It was delicious. If I could have figured out a way to bottle some for the road I would have.

re: Let's talk
Had two over this past weekend...
Agave Cerveza | Flying Dog BreweryFlying Dog Brewery - Pretty good summer time beer. If you remember Tequiza, this is the smarter, better-looking distant cousin that you don't mind being seen out in public with. Kona Brewing Company | Fire Rock Pale Ale - Didn't like it too much straight from the bottle. So I poured the next one in a glass, and the longer it sat, the better it was.

Let's talk microbrews
Wow so the midas touch is not good. White grapes belong in wine. Not happy but ill push on through
Edit: decided to switch to six point resin. Ill save the dogfish for guests when they are drunk enough that anything will do. Last edited by punch it in; 07-18-2014 at 08:21 PM. Reason: cus |

re: Let's talk
Grabbed a pint while I waited for some food to be made last night.
Elysian Brewing Company - SuperFuzz Blood Orange Pale Ale - Nice hoppiness but not overly bitter. Good citrus flavor. Then went next door to the beer shop and made a 6er. Had 4 of the 6. Nectar IPA Beer - Humboldt Brewing Co. - Great hoppiness. Definitely worth a try. Session Premium Lager | Full Sail Brewing Co - Smooth drinking lager. Would be a nice jumping point for non-craft drinkers Rumble IPA | Great Divide | - Great IPA with a very caramel aftertaste. It was almost weird. You get the hoppiness as you drank, and then this smooth caramel vanilla favor on the back end. Allagash Brewing Company - Black - Ended the night with the Allagash Black. Great stout beer. Have an Allagash White and a Oskar Blues G'Knight left to drink.

Firestone Walker Brewing Company
Does anybody have prior drinking experience with Firestone Walker Brewery? Someone told me I needed to try, been sleeping on them apperently.

re: Let's talk
Just found out I've probably got Celiac disease :-(
Still have to undergo biopsy to confirm, but pretty lame. Anyone know of any good GF beers? The Omission was pretty good. I've had redbridge and haven't been impressed. I'm more of an IPA guy myself.

The definitive top 10 IPAs, chosen by a panel of beer writers here is the list of beers for Fenwick in silver spring which has a vast selection .. Fenwick Beer and WIne - List of beers we sell walked down to fenwick .. they didnt have russian river, bell's or ballast point but thankfully they did have a sixer of firestone walker union jack which cost $19. I was hoping to at least get an IPA from one of those 4 brewers. fenwick is pricey (a sixer of dales is $13.99) so i imagine the firestone usually goes for $14 or so. at $19 a sixer, that is not a receipt i want the wifey to find. had a draft of baltimore beerworks "tell tale heart" IPA as we had dinner at annabelle lee's a few weeks ago, it was really really good. |

re: Let's talk
Nice list with the IPAs. I have three in my fridge right now, Two Hearted, Torpedo, and Stone.
