Re: 2011 NFL Draft: Rounds 4-7
SMU guy is Aldrick Robinson. Don't forget the Nebraska contingency, WR Niles Paul.

Kiper and McShay BOTH like Royster. Great pass receiver out of the backfield, straight-line runner/ no dancing around.

Well if were lucky in the 7th round there are still RB's and WR's available to pick from.

Hopefully we will have a QB to throw it to them.

Galloway is already gone. I would have to say Kelly is gone also, along with Austin. Banks is on the bubble, unless Paul really sucks. SMU guy is a big ?. I like Austin and Banks, but to me we need physical Wrs with good hands more than pure speed guys. I like Armstrong, but a previous poster told the truth that he really only is good for the long bomb threat or at the very least a 20+ yrd completion. Still that in itself is rather a useful thing in keeping Dbs honest. The FO did right with the Wr picks. Who know, the guy from SMU might be a stud, but he is undersized, and I don't think we need that, unless he is another Santana. |

LOL. McShay and Mort are talkign about Beck on ESPN now. They saying they liked Beck better than any of the QB's in this draft. I think we could still get McElroy if he is available in the 7th round.

Re: 2011 NFL Draft: Rounds 4-7
I think we're seeing Shanahan's philosophy here: load up on the skill positions at running back and wide receiver late in the draft, hoping one of them turns out to be lightning in a bottle.

He's not going anywhere, too valuable as a returner.

I like Royster, too. I like our new backfield. I think Helu and Royster will make a complementary team, especially with Torain.

I have to admit, the kids' highlight reel is pretty sick. I like him.
