RG3 will play this next week. Book it.

Now should he is another story. But he will say all the right things and act like it doesn't hurt just to get out there to lead this team. It speaks alot to his passion, but his scrambling needs to be scaled back by at least half. The guy is too valuable to keep getting nailed like that by 360 lb nose tackles putting all of their weight on one of your joints.

You know, there are people that hold valid medical experience in the world. Not saying that I am a doctor, but I am a registered nurse, EMT-I and combat medic, who was the NCOIC of the Department of Anesthesia at Eisenhower Army Medical Center, and now the Operations NCO for the Reserve Component Medical Evaluation Board. I do know a little bit about medicine, even though I'm not a doctor.

That being said, rest for ANY injury is never a bad thing, but I'd wager RG3 will be ready to roll come this Sunday.

So if he thinks Griff is going to play what is he supposed to say? I get your point but again - what if he really thinks he will play?

Shanahan is much like Bellicheat in that fact that neither like to give hardly any info in regards to injuries or whether or not a player will play. I would not be surprised if he's listed as a "game time" decision whether they plan to play him or not.

I think that RG3 should suit up and Cousins should start. If Cousins sucks it up, then RG3 should come off the bench. If not, let him rest.

If RGIII can play he needs to play. We're in the playoffs right now. One and done. If he can go...he goes. Anything less would be undeniable hubris.

Shanahan sounds optimistic RG3 will play vs. Browns on Sunday | ProFootballTalk

I'm glad for Robert that his injury wasn't too severe. I look forward to seeing him in action next week.

cofield is not a 3-4 nose, that's why what he's doing there is so impressive.

yeah, it'd be nice to have a real tub in there, but cofield is holding it down.

Truely dominant 3-4 nose tackles aren't exactly easy to find. There's barely a handful currently active in the league, and I would not advocate breaking the bank to bring any of them here.

I'd put Cofield on average to slightly above average. With all of the actual liabilities on this defense, he's probably one of the most likely players to keep his spot going into next season.

true . . . but to find them you have to try . . . look at how dominant Vince Wilfork was last night . . . he was just a beast and ate up 2 - 3 blockers and still batted down passers, made tackles and pressured the QB . . . Thats what we NEED . . . thats what a 3-4 defense NEEDS to be good

Cofield is a really good player and our front 3 d-linemen have done a good job against the run before the Ravens game. I think where he lacks as a NT is being able to take up two blockers and collapse the pocket. I hope Baker can develop into that space eating NT.

I didn't read this article citing Cofield as a strong NT...but I think Graziano makes an interesting point of why he thinks he is...#GoatLogic
