Re: Redskins vs Vikings Gameday thread

Aaron Rodgers has had a weak Oline ever since he's been in the league

I'm pretty sure he was talking about Britt's report about Griffin alienating teammates

Difference is Aaron and his receivers line up and can read the defense pre snap manning-like. By the time the ball snap, he already knows 8-9 of 10 times knows where the ball is going. the other times he uses his legs to step up or out of the pocket.

To me, this is RG3 biggest weakness, pre snap and pocket presence.

Forget the throws, he can make them all.

I have never felt Griff was a diva or any sort of distraction. Seems to me to be a young kid with a great work ethic and a will to win. Do you think there is any truth to this crap about him alienating teammates?

Agree 1000%. My fear is that is not so teachable but more of an innate quality hence my "rants" about Griff.

Excellent point.

I'm not piling on Griff - he did a lot of good things that his major detractors missed. But he made the offensive line look worse than it really is by holding the ball.

Rodgers, Brady, and Manning have all played behind suspect OL's and done ok, because they know what RGIII has yet to learn: get the damn ball out, boy! Your back foot hits, the ball comes out, for the good ones.

RGIII can learn to be quicker.

I'll volunteer for that assignment.

Seriously, though, she seems to be standing by the report even though the local guys have said it was aimed at the media not RGIII. It would be interesting to know who her source was because, although likely wrong, I don't she was making it up out of whole cloth.

The awfulness of these two throws strikes me as being out of character for RGIII. In 2012, he was clutch - I just had the feeling, no matter what, RGIII could pull the game out.

I keep telling myself "He was just rusty, he was just rusty, he was just rusty ..."

It's rare to be liked by everybody on the team. Usually the guys who are most universally liked are the most irrelevant players on the roster. So to that end, I know that a few players and others in the org don't like Griffin. Why? I don't know

I wouldn't say that's the same as alienating. I mean I haven't heard of him doing something purposefully aimed at causing dissension.

There are definitely people who feel that or want others to think that though. Britt got that report from somewhere, she didn't make it up

Re: Redskins vs Vikings Gameday thread

Get the ball out quick doesnt mean squat if no one is open.
And that is going to happen.
It happens to all QBs.
Often.

I've heard announcers say a million times (after a successful play)
"with that much time, someone is going to get open" .

Our O-line sucks and if it didnt I bet we could have had 10+ more points on the board.
I'm ready to spend our first and second rounder on the OL.

Green Bay's line is far better than what we have, you can't compare the two

Eddie Lacy might disagree.

I think they are very comparable, we are probably a little worse at pass protection, but stronger run block.
