Re: Official Game Thread: Redskins at Eagles
This is a big win for the franchise. Two games up on the Eagles, we have to be the favorites in the division now.

Re: Official Game Thread: Redskins at Eagles
2-0 is an excellent start to the year: i have several "observations from tonights game":
1. Is it me or does our offensive scheme under Al Saunders starting to take shape? He brilliantly calls for that deep ball at the end of the game, that should have been completed, Jason Campbell looks deep FIRST, Portis and Betts are dominate, Sellars in short yardage, even Suisham is freakin money. A few more completions from Campbell here and there, also less dropped passes...i think we are a few games a away from averaging atleast 27-30 points a game! It seems as if Saunders is getting a feel for the weapons we have and is learning how to use them. If you notice, Jim Johnson did not blitz us like he usually does...I think his playcalling showed his respect/fear of our weapons especially our QB that can get the ball to those weapons. 2. Put it in the bank...we will score a minimum of 28 points next week 3. We need to be careful not to have a let down next week...it seems strange to say in Week 3, we MUST beat the Giants. 4. Where are all of the idiots that didn't want Landry here, i don't make many posts but i must say that before the draft i wrote a lengthy post about how Landry was the best defensive player in the draft and tonight he proved that you draft for skill/talent/ability not NEED. I said that this guy is a game changer and in just his second game (on the road in the NFC EAST/Monday Night Football) he makes the play to win the game. Bottom line. *** Shout out to the defense and Gregg Williams, 12.5 points a game average will ASSURE us a nice playoff win. Defenseive unit looks fired up on every single play and we are three times faster than last year. Also, three sacks tonight gives us 5 in two games; not bad at all.

2-0 is sweet!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Plus, that was a win in the division ON THE ROAD. That's a big deal. And F*** Philly! I HATE those guys. We laid some wood on them--Taylor had a big hit, LL had the game winner, and Big Mike was running people over. Redskin football, y'all.

And Dawkins not knowing where the locker room was was pretty sweet too.

Honestly though, when I first saw him lie there and twitch for a second my first thought was about Kevin Everett. Eagle or not, I'd hate to see a bad injury like that happen to him.

Re: Official Game Thread: Redskins at Eagles
I'm definitely not looking ahead past the G-Strings, but ESPN had an interesting stat about Gibbs-coached teams, that they've started 2-0 five times. Each time the team started 2-0, they made the playoffs. Twice those teams went on to win the Super Bowl.
Just sayin'.
