Re: 2011 NFL Draft: Rounds 4-7
Makes sense. Beck was accurate, good intangibles, just needed time to develop. He's young in the senese that he won't be dead for another 40 or 50 years.

For everyone drooling for a center, Ryan Bartholomew from Syracuse is still hanging around on Kiper's "Best Available" list.

Yeah but we don't pick again until 213 unless we trade up.

ACC defensive player of the year? That must be an easy award to win.

Yeah! I think the coach likes him and that's all that matters.

I am glad about that. I don't have anything against undersized, speedy guys per say, but our current crop of these types suck badly, with the exception of AA. I say the FO could clear out every WR on the old roster sans Santana and AA. Very nice draft thus far. The only draft in a long time where you can understand the thinking behind the picks. Royster was a surprise for me, but it is a depth pick for the most part. Royster can unseat Torain and send him packing. |

I may be O-Ding on highlight reels, but I like ALL of the WRs we drafted. Mr. Hanky, Niles Paul and this Aldrick Robinson cat. All of these dudes look like they could contribute to our squad. IMO our offense was HORRIBLE. I wouldve liked to had pick some Olinemen, but I guess the Shannys didnt like any. And maybe they will address the interior line through FA, but we needed some more depth at the WR and RB position. No more 48 year old WRs starting for us. |

Umm no I didn't say that. I said the magazine has the other WR's listed higher on the chart. Robinson was in the "Best of the Rest" catagory.

Re: 2011 NFL Draft: Rounds 4-7
This is why I hate the Redskins drafting; We do so well getting a couple of our needs in the first couple of rounds, then we go out and draft positions we don't need, like Safety or we overdraft a position like WR. We got Hankerson who'll do great, then we got Paul and I was like ok whatever, now we're done drafting WR's (too bad we didn't get my guy Jeff Mahael of Oregon) then we go and get this Robinson WR from SMU?!?!?!?!? Why Redskins? WHY???
We could have drafted a position of need like a guard or center or tackle or NT JERRELL POWE !!!! Why is he still on the board?!?!?! We NEED a NT! I swear to god if we draft another TE or S ....

Dirt, I like McElroy, but how could the kid fall so badly in a rather average QB class? I mean the kid from Nevada got drafted before him, and Nevada is runs the Pistol. |
