I don't see how anyone can get on the Austin bandwagon yet, as he didn't play at all hardly. When the coaches still keep some older has been Wrs around, there is a reason for that. After they let Galloway go, Austin should have been featured some, but he wasn't. Don't be too shocked if we do go after a WR(s) in the draft that he will be cut by the time the 2011 roster hits 53.

This team is full of complementary type players.
I disagree with that completely. He has been our only true deep threat player this year with his great speed. And you can't compare him to the WR's in the rest of the division because they all have much better offenses than us. Considering what he has done this year with our offense, that is impressive to me. I think he will be a starter for this team for years to come.

So does anybody miss Fat Al with Anthony Bryant looking better than him and Kemo in his limited action this year?

I don't miss AH because he was never our answer to being a true NT for the 3-4.

He was not the answer last season in Greg Blaches 4-3 defense remember he was always lying on the ground hurt or tired.

And still MS tried to play him as a 3-4 NT. It is stuff like this that I don't want to see next season.

If you recall MS asked Hanyesworthless if you take the check then you are on board with the 3-4 defense, well he took the check. He was a no show for OTA"S and we changed to a 3-4 defense why not show up to get a jump on learning it. I guess he did not really want to play in the 3-4 he just wanted the check.

I'm going to miss that. Wonder where he'll end up next year.

Re: Giants v. Redskins Gameday Thread

It's no surprise that I've gotten ultra-cynical over the past couple of years considering the insane ways that the Redskins have found to lose and/or break my heart.

All that being said, we've gotten quite a few good things out of this year. Sure, the McNabb and AH situations were fiascoes, but we're a team in transition and everyone makes mistakes. Anthony Bryant ABSOLUTELY stepped up today, and that might take a position of need off the list. Anthony Armstrong and Brandon Banks are two players this team can build on amongst other role players that stepped up.

Their wont be any more drama about Haynworthless he is out bro. As far as McNabb we will trade him for some food stamps to someone.

I actually like Armstrong better than Maclin considering that Armstrong doesn't have a DeSean Jackson drawing coverage away from him.

Re: Giants v. Redskins Gameday Thread

The sad thing is, I can point to one or two key plays EACH game that resulted in a win or a loss. We didn't blow anyone out (been a while since we've done that) and we didn't get dominated with the exception of the Giants and Eagles games this year.

I feel like we dominated the Raiders last year, that was one of those complete games where we had a comfortable lead at the end of the game.

Yeah but that's the problem. You can't go anywhere unless you beat the teams in your division. And going into next year I still see us behind all those teams.
