So at this point is there any OL players worth looking at?

Stefan Wisniewski is a good player who can play either C or G. I thought he'd be signed by now. He's scheduled to visit Seattle which just lost their starting C, Max Unger, in a trade.

Getting the feeling that MLB is less of an issue in the eyes of the FO than it is on this board.

Cant fix everything in one offseason so get some base parts in place, then can add more in future years to continue going in the right direction. |

Still need to sign Kerrigan and Williams which won't be cheap. The interesting thing is RGIII, what happens with him depends on what he does. Will he get a last shot to prove himself?

Re: Who should we go for in Free Agency?
The forums cap sheets show that we have ~75M under contract next year (as of Dec., 2014, not including recent cuts and the new signings). Plenty of room to work in Williams, Kerrigan, Morris, K. Robinson, D. Young (if resigned). Plus, if they sign TW (2015 cap number = 13.7M) and RK (7.0M), it will likely significantly reduce their numbers this years and be cap friendly over the next few.

Re: Who should we go for in Free Agency?
And just to flesh out the cap numbers (from Overthecap), rounded to the closest Million
The Skins have 11M as do the Colts and Panthers Cardinals are at 9M(and are trying to get Adrian Peterson) as are the Ravens Steelers and Texans are at 8M Eagles are at 7M Cowboys, Lions are at 6M Giants are at 4M Saints are at 3M (after truly going through cap hell to clear space) and the Chiefs are at 0M You may have noticed we have the MOST cap space in our division, by about 4Million. This is not your VC Redskins. |

Re: Who should we go for in Free Agency?
great signing. we got a guy with upside and very good ST play instead of any one of a list of known bad players. 2M/per is peanuts too if he's anywhere near a solid starter, especially since some good ST players get near that just for running kick coverage.

Re: Who should we go for in Free Agency?
Working the cap has never been an issue here. Eric Shaffer is one of the best in the biz. Relax, nothing to see here.

Yes working the cap is an art we actually are good at. Paying the right players has been the problem.

Obviously, we may be singing a different tune at the end of the season, but, right now, Scot McC is making what appear to be some very, very good free agency moves.
