Re: Kirk Cousins 365 thread

Does SF love KC enough to give up high draft choices and $$$$$$$. They will not trade for him unless he agrees to a long term contract. No one seems to know what he is asking for.

That's something we will find out very soon. Remember, San Fran just hired John Lynch as their GM - somebody with no prior experience as being a GM in he league. Also, San Fran's ownership isn't exactly made up of level-headed rationalists. It's very likely that if Kyle Shanahan thinks that he can get Kirk Cousins and turn the 49ers around very quickly, then the ownership and new GM (who also happens to have a crush on Kirk Cousins as well) would probably be willing to move the heavens and the earth to secure Cousins' service.

It could very well be that the Redskins are sitting at both #2 and #17 in this year's draft, and have two 1st rounders again next year. That is a deal that I think the Redskins probably couldn't refuse.

Maybe if this were to happen, the ownership comes out and says they're extending Jay Gruden another couple of seasons to see where this goes.

Gah! If any of this was true, then I wouldn't blame Cousins for wanting out, but I think what has to be considered his Cousins' relationship with the current coaching staff, and it seems it's a good one. Daniel Snyder will cut his nose off despite his face.

That story is from a fan site and is conjecture. Does not apply to real life.

The writer of that story is a former WWE wrestler. Not kidding.

Could still totally see Snyder doing it though.

The thing about Snyder totally ignoring Cousins after his first win filling in for RG3 is true, I remember Mike or someone on the radio talking about it, and how the other players noticed it too.

Snyder I believe would tank this whole thing just to try and prove himself right. Can't believe we are questioning it...

At this point I'd be shocked to see them sign Kirk long term. In fact I believe the trade is more likely. I'd love to stay positive here but it's the redskins

I just don't understand why they didn't get something done last year. Didn't those idiots see this coming?

Re: Kirk Cousins 365 thread

We had a few relatively quiet years and now we're back to being the dumpster fire that we are known for. I think hands down this is absolutely the most dysfunctional organization within the NFL.

In this off-season, we are going to lose Kirk Cousins, Pierre Garcon, and DeSean Jackson. Gruden and company is likely gone after the season.

The team's deafening silence on Boozegate (Rumors of Scott M relapsing) i think speaks volumes. Snyder has fully embraced his reputation of being the worst owner in the NFL and commanding the most dysfunctional organization.

Not that I think this is the case, but what if everyone in the organization is being quiet because they aren't responding to stupid internet chatter and instead we see a long term contract with Kirk tomorrow followed by a two year extension for Jay and a relatively quick resigning of either Pierre or DeSean.

Thank you for that, that is a positive post, but why would the skins wait until the last day to announce the contract? If they knew they could get a deal done with Kirk i have a feeling they would already have done it.

My money says he is tagged and given the tag that lets other teams negotiate with him. I think it's plainly obvious that Snyder doesn't want Cousins on this team this coming season....

The front office isn't entirely sold on him and the prospect of getting two first round picks is tempting. The next week or two will be very interesting to say the least. I hope
Kirk stays or everything will unravel
I think. If Gruden gets canned we will be at
Cleveland depths. I just don't see any good coaching talent wanting to come here.
